Internship Opportunities Available
The 2025 / 2026 Internship Programme offers 12-month placements in the following fields:
- Mining Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
These internships offer graduates valuable on-the-job training, exposure to mining operations, and mentoring to help establish a professional career path in the mining industry.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen, aged 18–35 years.
- Hold a Degree or National Diploma in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
- Be unemployed and have no prior full-time work experience in the field.
- Reside near the mine (proof of residence required — municipal account or affidavit).
- Provide:
- A comprehensive CV.
- Certified copies of ID and academic records.
- A copy of qualification or letter of completion.
- Must pass a certificate of fitness examination as required by the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
