Bursaries will be awarded for studies in the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (1 bursary)
- Finance (1 bursary)
- Geology (1 bursary)
- Mining Engineering (2 bursaries)
- Metallurgical Engineering / Analytical Chemistry (1 bursary)
About the Northam Booysendal Bursary Programme
The Northam Booysendal Bursary supports deserving Matric and tertiary students pursuing studies in high-demand sectors.
Bursaries awarded to current Matric students will depend on their final Matric examination results.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be currently in Matric OR have completed Matric
- Current Matric learners:
- Minimum 60% for Mathematics and Physical Science
- Minimum 50% for Language
- Current tertiary students:
- Minimum 60% average for major subjects
- Technical fields:
- Minimum 60% for Mathematics & Physical Science
- Minimum 50% for Language
- Non-technical fields (Finance):
- Minimum 60% for Accounting
- Minimum 50% for Language
- Must be studying or intending to study in one of the listed fields
- Must be accepted or registered at a recognised South African tertiary institution
- Must be hard-working and self-motivated
- Preference will be given to students from:
- Mashishing
- Roossenekal
- Steelpoort
However, students from other areas may still apply
