About the Victor Thebe Sifora Provincial Bursary Scheme
The North West Provincial Government (NWPG) is offering financial support to students residing in the province through the Victor Thebe Sifora Provincial Bursary Scheme. The bursary aims to develop skilled professionals in critical fields that contribute to the province’s growth, governance, and service delivery.
Bursaries will be awarded to students permanently residing in the North West Province who wish to pursue studies in the following departments and disciplines:

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Victor Thebe Sifora Bursary, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens permanently residing in the North West Province.
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Be studying or intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the listed fields for the 2026 academic year.
- Be accepted or planning to study at a public tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Be financially needy, with preference given to academically deserving students.
Required Documents
Applicants must upload certified copies of the following supporting documents:
- South African ID document
- Matric final results or certificate
- Latest academic results (if already studying)
- Proof of acceptance at a tertiary institution (if available)
- Parents/guardians proof of income (payslips, affidavit, or pension statement)
- Proof of permanent residence (letter from Traditional Authority or Municipality)
- Proof of disability (if applicable)
