Season 3 of Outlaws is set to premiere in November this year

Fresh off its SAFTA win for Best Telenovela, Outlaws is returning to Showmax in 2025 with a new face taking on the role of Sihle. Rising star Noluthando Ngema steps into the role previously played by Nirvana Nokwe.
Outlaws tells the story of two families at war. The Zulu, cattle-farming Biyelas and the Basotho, cattle-raiding Ts’eoles clash over land, loyalty and family honour, creating a rich backdrop of intrigue and emotion.
In Season 2, Noluthando plays Sihle Biyela, a woman who leaves her family and community to build a life with her lover, Leruo Tseole, portrayed by Lehlohonolo Mayeza. The story explores love, sacrifice and the challenge of navigating complex family and cultural expectations.
Joining Noluthando are new cast members, including Thandolwethu Zondi as Thunzi Biyela and Mamodibe Ramodibe as Buang, adding further depth and intrigue to the ensemble.
Ahead of the season premiere on 17 November 2025, we spoke with Noluthando about stepping into Sihle’s shoes, working alongside industry veterans, and what fans can expect from her portrayal.
Speaking to Kaya 959, Ngema shared her initial reaction when she learned she would be playing Sihle in Outlaws Season 2.
“I was so shocked, but in the best way,” Noluthando says. “My sisters were with me when I got the news, and I remember screaming at the top of my lungs. I could not contain my excitement. It was overwhelming and such a special moment for me.”
On working with SAFTA winner Thembinkosi Mthembu, who plays her on-screen older brother Bandile, Ngema says the experience has helped her grow as an actor.
“It was an incredible learning experience,” she explains. “I was able to observe how he approaches a scene and carries himself between takes. He is like a big brother on and off screen. Working alongside him and the rest of the cast helped me grow and refine my craft. It was truly an honour.”
