New McDonald’s menu with nine new items usually only available abroad leaked and customers say it’s ‘the best one yet’

THE next McDonald’s menu shake-up appears to have been leaked – and fans say it’s their “most exciting new menu yet”.

Nine new menu items are coming to the UK for the first time ever on October 22, according to insiders.

Given that only a few brand new items tend to drop each time Maccas refreshes its menu, this would be a HUGE change.

And in another exciting twist, each of the items are understood to be based on unusual McDonald’s meals from around the world.

These are the rumoured new items…

  • Black Pepper & Garlic McNuggets
  • Pineapple McSpicy
  • Sour Cream Shaker Fries
  • Mac & Cheese Triangles
  • Maple BBQ & Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese
  • Chocolate Caramel Pie
  • Chocolate Pretzel McFlurry
  • Caramel Pretzel McFlurry
  • Sakura Mixology drink.

The rumours have been shared by popular food Instagrammers @newfoodsuk and @bigdaddybsfoods.

New Food Spotter UK wrote: “McDonald’s UK are coming in HOT from 22nd October 🔥🍔🍟.

“You heard it here first.”

People claiming to be McDonald’s staff members have also been discussing the new item drops on Reddit.

One person claimed: “It’s true, the campaign is called World Heist – it’s basically meant to be products that have been in McDonald’s from around the world.

“It’s a strong positive step that they’ve heard all the complaints of ‘all the same’ and if this does well, an opportunity to bring in more radical menu items.”

Others replied saying their bosses had told them about the new menu and that the rumours were true.

McDonald’s has not responded to a comment request from The Sun, but it hasn’t denied the rumours either.

If true, the new menu is sure to send Maccas fans wild.

One commenter said: “This is the most excited I’ve ever been for a mcdonalds new menu drop! I NEED those nuggets and shake fries!!”

Another wrote: “My god, this is their MOST EXCITING NEW MENU YETT!!!”

A third person added: “Bro everything or almost everything being first time drops in the UK is amazing. All of these look very exciting.”

Another said: “Now FINALLY this is a DIFFERENT menu with some intriguing items.”

But the menu also divided fast food fans, with one person writing: “There must be some kind of a mistake.”

A second person added: “That all looks completely disgusting. But then I’m over 7 years old and not American.”

What do we know about the new items?

If the rumours are to be believed, the new menu is based on McDonald’s meals from around the world.

Black Pepper and Garlic McNuggets are currently found in Czechia and Germany.

Food reviewer Scott Reviews Things tried them in Czechia and said they are “absolutely tremendous”.

“I’d eat 20 of them all day long,” he said.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Maple BBQ and Bacon Quarter Pounder is usually found in Canada.

It includes a beef patty, creamy maple BBQ sauce, smoked bacon strips, crispy onions, two slices of cheese and pickles inside a toasted sesame seed topped bun.

Reviewers have been divided on the burger, with one person saying they didn’t like it at all and giving it a 5/10.

But another described it as “delicious” and said the burger was “juicy”.

The Sakura Mixology drink appears to be based on the McFizz Sakuranbo and the McFloat Sakuranbo, which are sold in Japan.

Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossoms, with the drinks inspired by the country’s cherry blossom season.

Both are cherry-flavoured drinks, but the McFloat has a swirl of vanilla soft-serve ice cream on top.

The Pineapple McSpicy could be a twist on the Hawaiian McSpicy which is usually found in Australia.

The burger features chicken topped with a pineapple ring, bacon, fresh lettuce, Jack cheese and signature McChicken sauce.

Meanwhile the Sour Cream Shaker Fries are already popular in Spain.

The fries come with an extra paper bag so you can add the Sour Cream Powder and then shake to mix the two together.

A TikToker who tried the snacks said they were “delicious” and “10/10”.

The Chocolate Caramel Pie seems to be a twist on a menu item from Czechia.

There you can get a Chocolate and Salted Caramel Pie, which is a layer of salted caramel blended with chocolate in a buttery crust.

Meanwhile the Chocolate Pretzel and Caramel Pretzel McFlurries have been sold in the US before.

They include the classic vanilla soft-serve ice cream mixed with chocolate-covered pretzel bits and topped with a rich caramel swirl.

How to save at McDonald’s

You could end up being charged more for a McDonald’s meal based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.

The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.

You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.

The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
