After an eight-year break, the National Basketball Association (NBA) games are returning to SuperSport across sub-Saharan Africa.
MultiChoice, now under Canal+ control, confirmed the comeback with a new broadcast deal.
The agreement brings select NBA games, regular season, playoffs, and the All-Star Weekend back to SuperSport channels.
For the first time, NBA matches will also stream on the new Showmax Premier League tier, expanding digital access.
The games will air in English and reach more than 50 African markets through DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv, and Showmax.
Coverage is included in the DStv Compact and GOtv Supa Plus packages, widening access beyond just premium users.
Along with live broadcasts, fans will get highlights and extra content on SuperSport’s social media and digital outlets.
The relaunch of NBA coverage is part of MultiChoice’s growing push to combine sports and streaming on a single platform.
