Internship Overview
Position: Internal Audit Intern
Division: Internal Audit
Contract Duration: 12 months (Fixed Term)
Salary: R60,000 – R150,000 per annum
Industry: Oil and Energy
Functional Area: Accounting / Auditing
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Completed NQF Level 6 qualification in Internal Auditing
- No prior work experience (graduates seeking internship experience)
- Must not have previously participated in an internship or learnership programme
- South African citizen
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with internal audit planning and conducting fieldwork
- Support the preparation of audit reports and related documentation
- Help monitor corrective actions implemented by management
- Assist with departmental meetings and liaising with external service providers
- Take minutes during meetings and maintain accurate records
- Perform other administrative duties as required
Required Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
