The son of former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe, Robert Junior, has been arrested in Harare for alleged drug posession.

The Drugs and Narcotics section took the 33-year-old into custody and is holding him at Harare Central Police Station, 263Chat reports.

Reports suggest that authorities found Mugabe Junior with two sachets of dagga and a quantity of white powder believed to be cocaine. He reportedly hid the substances among the cash in his possession.

Mugabe is expected to appear before magistrates in Harare today, 2 October 2025. The Zimbabwean police have not issued an official statement on the matter.
