SHOPPERS are gutted after M&S axed an iconic festive favourite – but don’t worry, Aldi has you covered with a dupe.

The sell-out snow globe gins have been pulled from the shelves, but Aldi’s selection is £6 cheaper.

The posh retailer has exclusively told us that its sell-out snow globe gins will not be stocked this year, despite their popularity.

The bottles of M&S gin liqueur have been an M&S Christmas staple over the last three years, retailing at £20 a bottle.

Previously, the drinks have been so popular that M&S slapped them with a buying limit because of the huge demand.

The Clementine Gin Liqueur and Spiced Plum Gin Liqueur featured flecks of gold glitter, and the bottle even lit up to imitate a snow globe.

But Aldi’s Infusionist Shimmer Globes are back and available to buy in three mouthwatering flavours.

You can snap up the Toffee Flavoured Vodka Liqueur, Blood Orange Flavoured Gin Liqueur and Honey Flavoured Rum Liqueur – all for £13.99 a bottle.

They come in beautiful globe style bottles and lighten up the Christmas table with a swirl of gold when shaken.

The three flavours are advertised as:

• Blood Orange Flavour Gin Liqueur – vibrant citrus meets crisp juniper
• Honey Flavour Rum Liqueur – rich honey sweetness with a smooth, warming finish
• Toffee Flavour Vodka Liqueur – indulgent, silky vodka with luscious toffee notes

One shopper said: “WOW! I will be running to get my hands on this asap! Looks incredible!” 

Another customer said: “Do we have to choose? Three is the magic number!”

Others said: “Had this last year, delicious!”

“I got this last year, it’s so nice,” commented another.

A fourth said: “Oh wow, I’m getting one for my in-laws for Christmas, they love toffee vodka.

M&S shoppers shouldn’t be too disappointed though as stores are still flogging plenty of other delightful Christmas tipples, including Tiramisu and Chocolate & Cherry flavour Irish Cream Liqueurs for £15.

If you prefer something more fruity for the festive season, why not pick up a bottle of the M&S Collection Ceramic Limoncello Liqueur for £40.

The beautifully illustrated bottle is handmade in Italy, the home of Limoncello, making for a stunning candle-holder or ornament once finished.

There is also The Marksologist Cocktail Selection, which includes three 150ml tins for £10.

The bar quality cocktails include a Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, Blood Orange Margarita and a Cherry Mai Tai.
