Chipezeze, who was named the Man of the Match, was eventually beaten by a scorching strike from Tshepang Moremi in the 55th minute, followed by a superb strike by substitute Evidence Makgopa in the 88th minute. Magesi managed to find a consolation goal via Lehlegonolo Mokone in stoppage time.

Orlando Pirates join Golden Arrows, Richards Bay FC in the Carling Knockout semifinals. The last quarterfinal battle will see Marumo Gallants host Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday at the Dr Molemela Stadium at 19:00.
