Bosses are currently filming the next edition of the programme Down Under but were left stunned when one unhappy bride vanished and disappeared for over 14 hours.

It caused chaos with show producers starting a search party to locate the missing bride.

According to Daily Mail Australia, one bride unexpectedly left her accommodation at 7am and missed the full day of filming before being located at 9pm that evening.

The runaway bride managed to slip away without any one from the production crew noticing, according to the outlet.

An insider said: “She left first thing in the morning and just vanished,’ a well-placed insider revealed.

“Producers were checking nearby restaurants and pubs and walking the streets. No one knew where she was. It was a total panic.”

Eventually, it is reported she returned back to the accommodation location but soon threatened to quit filming and the programme for good.

Other sources have told the publication that this 2026 brides and grooms are the “most off-the-rails cast” yet with more walk-outs, explosive fights and filming tantrums than ever before.

One source said of the upcoming cast: “This season’s brides came in with major princess attitudes, but they were humbled real fast.

“There was zero tolerance this year. Producers weren’t bending on anything.”

Married At First Sight Australia has proved an international hit.

The AU edition is one of Australia‘s top rated reality programmes and also found success in the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was that successful that the UK edition saw a huge overhaul to follow the same format as its Aussie counterpart.
