A MAN charged with stalking Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey and his family has been named.
Inigo Rowland allegedly turned up at the MP’s address numerous times between June and October this year, court documents indicate.
The 58-year-old, from Surbiton, South West London, has also been charged with possession of a flick knife.
The Met Police said Rowland appeared at Wimbledon magistrates’ court on October 7.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at the same court tomorrow.
Sir Ed, MP for Kingston and Surbiton, lives with wife Emily and their two children.
Yesterday, the Sun on Sunday revealed a suspected stalker had been arrested.
A Lib Dem spokesperson said: “We cannot provide any details at this time.
“Ed’s number one priority is the safety of his family.”
A Met Police spokesperson said of Rowland: “He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 7 October and was remanded into custody.
“He will next appear at the same court on Tuesday, 14 October.
“He was arrested on Monday, 6 October in relation to the offences, which are alleged to have taken place between June and October.”
