FURIOUS Married At First Sight fans have complained to Ofcom in their droves.
In the last week, the broadcasting regulator received 81 complaints about the E4 reality show – the majority of which related to groom Steven Springett’s behaviour towards his wife Nelly Patel.

Steven, 34, and Nelly, 30, tied the knot but their relationship has taken a turn with some fiery rows[/caption]
An expletive-laden outburst on the programme saw Steven brand Nelly a “f***ing idiot” in a fiery row at home.
The 34-year-old dad also came under fire from co-stars after he left Nelly at home nursing a broken rib while he got drunk and boasted about his sexual conquests.
As the couples arrived for a dinner party, Steven stormed off set and called show stars like Julia-Ruth and Maeve Mathieson a “bunch of c***s”.
The following day, Nelly tried to speak to him about it again.
During a heated exchange in their bedroom, Steven blasted: “I get bored of saying the same thing over and over again.”
Nelly responded: “You keep saying that”, to which Steven fired back: “Well, don’t antagonise me then!”
Shocked, she said: “Don’t raise your voice at me, before Steven replied: “F**king idiot”.
At the commitment ceremony that followed, Nelly revealed what he had called her, and Steven tried to backtrack on what he’d said.
However, show expert Mel Schilling called Steven out on it, and he eventually admitted that he’d been feeling overwhelmed that week due to his stepdad being in hospital.
After Steven broke down in tears and promised he would get back to who he was before, the couple agreed to stay in the experiment.
Taking to Instagram after the ceremony, Nelly posted: “This last commitment ceremony was a difficult one for us.
“Although I hated seeing Steven cry, it was the first time I’d seen him show me a more emotional side.
“Seeing that other side to him wasn’t easy – and it came after behaviour that no one should ever have to tolerate in a marriage.
“But he assured me that it wasn’t the real him. That the real Steven was the one I met on our wedding day, the one I grew close to on our honeymoon, and I didn’t want to throw something potentially magical away.
“So I took a big risk, decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, and fight for our marriage.
“Seeing that vulnerable side gave me hope that maybe, just maybe, we could build again and find our way back to where we were just a couple of weeks ago.
“I chose to stay, and to show up for our marriage. To everyone following my journey:
“I promised to be real and raw throughout this experiment with you all. This is me sharing how I truly felt in that moment, and staying honest to the process.
“Thank you all for your support, and for allowing me to be so open with you xxx.”
Fans flocked to the comments section to voice their opinions and one wrote: “Not convinced about this guy. I think he’s got a very dark side to his personality that’s very worrying.”
Another added: “You’re amazing but he didn’t deserve a second chance.”
While a third said: “Any man who spoke to me the way he spoke to you would be deleted and blocked.
“Your dignity and respect is not worth staying on a TV show for – hold your head high, realise your self-worth and leave now.
“Any man who will treat you like that once will do it again and that is his real character- read all these comments and see the light.”
The E4 husband recently issued an apology after his explosive outburst and explained his ‘secret struggle’ behind the scenes.
He said he was ‘deeply embarrassed’ following the unpleasant episode.
