MAFS UK bride Julia-Ruth hits back after intense in-laws week leaves groom in tears

Married At First Sight bride Julia-Ruth has clapped back after a fiery in-laws week left her spouse in tears.

The professional dancer, 28, was branded a “nightmare” by furious show fans after a trip to her home turf turned sour.

Her hubby Divarni, 29, broke down during the intense scenes with her pals at a plush cafe – leaving E4 viewers to speculate the OG MAFS 2025 couple are over for good.

The emotional encounter with Julia-Ruth‘s nearest and dearest saw her mates called out his “shouting to communicate.”

After he told he had apologised for his conduct and taken “accountability” this did not wash – and he was left holding his head in his hands after being branded “not normal.”

Julia-Ruth has endured a rocky relationship with the London musician from the off, refusing to even fall asleep in the same room as her husband after finding out about his promiscuous past.

Now she has taken to TikTok for a clip addressing her conduct – and insisting she’s in stitches all the time.

Wearing a green puffa jacket and resting back against a wall she said: “You know how you guys keep saying you’re exhausted?

“I’m exhausted watching myself. And it’s so frustrating because nine times out of 10 I’m laughing or giggling.”

She then told how she had reunited with some of the cast at theme park Thorpe Park for a press event and added: “I was laughing.

“One of them turned around and looked at me because they recognised my laugh, that is how often I laugh because they turned around and knew who I was.”

She then addressed her “pulling faces” on the reality series and confessed: “I think I was just so emotionally drained from constantly having to analyse my feelings.

“Constantly having to analyse every situation, constantly having to talk about other couples and relationships and what’s going on with the drama that’s going on.

“It’s just quite a lot – but I was smiling all the time and giggling all the time.”

In her caption she then wrote: “Let’s all have a nap.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

Yet some fans weren’t convinced in the comments section and one wrote: “Girl! We have not seen you and your guy laugh once!”

At the start of this year’s Married At First Sight experiment, the couple got off to a great start.

They were seen kissing and admitting that they both “fancied” each other after their wedding day, but things quickly took a turn.

On their honeymoon, Julia-Ruth admitted Divarni was shorter than what she wanted in a guy.

She also said he was “too deep” and spoke about heavy things – despite having asked him what his “deepest fear” was.

CAST FEUD

Meanwhile, MAFS fans were previously convinced Julia-Ruth was at the heart of a cast feud.

They spotted seemingly telling signs at the first dinner party, as she burst into tears before calling out her spouse.

Fans then reckoned she has bad blood with some of the cast who have seemingly found much better matches.

One took to social media to write: “Unless it’s the camera angle or edit, Julia Ruth doesn’t look pleased for those who are happy. Still neither does Sarah.”

A second put: “They both feel ‘short’ changed, alongside Anita and Leigh I suspect.”

A third mused: “Made worse when all of the others appear to have more appropriate matches than her…in her eyes at least.”

Fans have already begged Julia Ruth to “run away” from her spouse – after he performed a song to her to try to smooth things over.

They also suspected “something happened” off-screen after the pair appeared to “switch in behaviour” following tense scenes.
