Afro-pop and Urban Maskhandi star Lwah Ndlunkulu makes her return with her second album Amaciko, releasing this Friday, 3 October 2025, under Inkabi Records.
Following the success of her award-winning debut Imizwa, this 12-track project stands as a bold celebration of heritage, identity, and modern storytelling.
The album pays tribute to the custodians of art and culture, the “amaciko”, and blends soulful Afro-pop melodies with rich Zulu instrumentation in the distinctive style she and Inkabi Nation proudly define as Urban Maskhandi.
Its lead single, Edolobh’eni (Track 9), is expected to be a standout anthem, weaving heartfelt storytelling with an infectious groove that bridges her rural roots and global aspirations.
Raised in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, Lwah began her musical journey singing in church and school choirs before moving to Johannesburg in 2020 to pursue her career. She first broke into the national spotlight in 2021 with a feature on Big Zulu’s hit single Umuzi eSandton. Soon after, her debut single Home, featuring Sjava, cemented her place as a powerful new voice in South African music.
