Luke Littler shuts down sexist troll with perfect three-word reply after losing to Beau Greaves in darts classic

LUKE LITTLER shut down a sexist troll after his defeat to Beau Greaves at the World Youth Championship.

The reigning world champion, 18, surprisingly took part in the event in Wigan within 24 hours of winning the World Grand Prix in Leicester.

Having squeezed past Charlie Manby from 5-3 down, Littler went on to lose 6-5 to women’s world champion Greaves.

After the event, an Instagram user wrote to Littler: “We don’t need this. Women should not compete with men, no matter how good they are.”

The fan favourite wasn’t having any of it, however, hitting back: “Are you high?”

Greaves, 21, recently earned a tour card, meaning she is likely to mix it with the biggest names in the sport moving forward.

Littler joked: “You best not to be taking that tour card!”

Heaping more praise upon Greaves, Littler added: “I had two 10 dart legs, missed D12 for a nine and still couldn’t win.

“Fair play to Beau Greaves, all the best in Minehead, some talent.”

Greaves will meet Gian van Veen in the Minehead final on November 23.

The showpiece will coincide with Littler and Co competing in the Players Championship.

The winner will take home £12,000 in prize money.

World No1 Luke Humphries has also praised Greaves’ ability.

Humphries said: “I think she’s an amazing player and she deserves it. I predict that she will flourish playing in it.

“She’s been a really great player on the secondary tours this year.

“She’s good on the challenge tour, the development tour, and she’ll be a real threat going forward for all the players.

“Not just for me but for everyone. I think she’ll do really well.

“If she’s relaxed and got no pressure on her shoulders, I believe she will be top 64 within the two years.”
