Luke Humphries excited as ‘threat’ Beau Greaves, 21, becomes only second female darts star to qualify for PDC Tour Card

LUKE HUMPHRIES believes that Beau Greaves will FLOURISH on the PDC Tour.

The 21-year-old became only the second woman to win her place in the elite and compete with the big names Humphries, Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen from the start of 2026.

Only Lisa Ashton, five years ago, had previously held a tour card and ‘Beau and Arrow’ matched that feat by guaranteeing her top two place in the Development Tour on Saturday.

Humphries, 30, now reckons that the three-time WDF Women’s World Champion will make a name for herself in the PDC.

On whether it’s good news for the sport, he said: “Yeah, amazing. I’m quite proud of her.

“I think she’s an amazing player and she deserves it. She’s been a real great player on the secondary tours this year.

“She’s good on the challenge tour, good on the development tour and she’ll be real threat going forward for all the players. Not just for me but for everyone.

“I predict that she’ll flourish playing in it. She’ll probably think that she’s got no pressure on her shoulders, and she hasn’t. I think she’ll do really well.”

‘Cool Hand’ believes she has the quality to progress into the world’s top 64, adding: “Of course, she has two years to do it, doesn’t she.

“If she’s relaxed and she’s got no pressure on her shoulders yes, I believe she will be top 64 within the two years for sure.”

There are rumours that Greaves may well still DECLINE the tour card in a bid to secure a fourth WDF world title, as she cannot compete within both codes.

Greaves has made it clear her affection for the WDF Women’s World Championship and has previously turned down the chance to play at Alexandra Palace for the PDC World Championship. That could well be a huge decision for her to make in December.

Humphries added: “I don’t have an opinion on that whatsoever. It’s totally down to her.

“I don’t hope she does one or the other. If she picks to go in the WDF and wants to be a four-time world champion, then fair play to her. That’s her prerogative.

“If she wants to come in the PDC world championships, then fair play to her as well. It’s totally down to her, whatever she picks.”
