Love Island’s Toni reveals she’s HOMELESS two months after winning £50k on show

LOVE Island’s Toni Laites has revealed she’s HOMELESS – two months after winning a huge cash prize on the show.

The star collected the £50,000 jackpot alongside her partner Cach Mercer in the summer when they won the ITV2 reality show.

Toni recently revealed her plans to move to the UK[/caption]

Las Vegas-based Toni had been working as a pool waitress in the exclusive Sin City day-party scene before winning Love Island.

But she previously told The Sun of her plans to settle down in the UK after jetting straight to London from the Majorcan villa.

However, in a new video today, Toni claims she has no choice but to currently stay in Airbnb’s as she can’t find a reliable landlord to rent her a flat in the UK.

The Love Island champ fumed to her fans: “You guys keep asking me ‘Why don’t you just get an apartment?, why don’t you just get an apartment? Why are you staying in Airbnb’s? Isn’t that expensive?’”

She continued: “And I went to go see an apartment today and the landlord didn’t show up and there’s someone inside from Booking.com so… the homelessness continues.”

The star captioned the post with: “Pls excuse my appearance… homeless person with clout is the new aesthetic (star emoji).”

Shortly after Toni left the villa as the Love Island champ with Cach, she opened up about her desire to live in the UK, and leave Vegas.

The 25-year-old told The Sun: “I am here [London] for god-knows how long at this point.

“I feel like I’m definitely gonna have to find somewhere to live.

“America is not for me at this point.”

When asked if she felt like she’d been adopted by the UK as an honorary Brit, Toni smiled as she said: “Yes, I think so!”

Toni and Cach clinched the title of Love Island winners in August and have been riding the wave ever since.

News of Toni’s decision to remain in the UK comes after we revealed she was set to be approached by ITV execs in starring in her own series following her returning to Las Vegas to re-visit her pre-villa life.

An insider told The Sun: “It’s super early days as she’s only just left the villa but there’s talk of Toni being lined up for a spin off based around her life in Vegas as a cabana girl.

“Shakira and Yas (and Cach!) would feature and her mum would also make appearances.

Love Island fans have been loving Leslie on the show and on TikTok!

“ITV bosses love the energy that Toni brings to the table and her one-liners. She’s got a bright future ahead of her on TV.

“She’ll go into talks about future plans this week.”

Toni made history with her Love Island win as she became the first ever US star to win the UK version of the contest.
