This bursary forms part of the LGSETA Annual Performance Plan (APP) for 2025/2026, designed to support youth development, build skills capacity, and promote employment readiness across South Africa.
About the LGSETA Bursary
The LGSETA Bursary Programme provides funding for full-time students enrolled at:
- Public universities
- Universities of technology
- TVET colleges
The bursary supports studies in qualifications relevant to the local government sector, as listed on the official LGSETA website.

✅ Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
- Be a Grade 12 learner, university student, or TVET college student who has been accepted or provisionally accepted into a qualification aligned with local government needs.
- Be enrolled full-time at a public institution.
- Submit all required supporting documents by the closing date.

- South African ID copy
- Matric certificate or latest academic results
