The Office of the Premier, Limpopo Province, in partnership with the Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDPSETA), invites applications from unemployed youth residing in Limpopo to apply for the Chinese Bursary Programme 2026.
This fully funded opportunity allows deserving post-matric youth to study for a four-year bachelor’s degree in China, starting in February 2026.

Fields of Study
Successful candidates will study for a 4-year bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Data Science and Big Data Technology) — Ref: TDP/DSBDT/2025
- Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Applied Mathematics) — Ref: ETDP/MAM/2025
- Bachelor of Engineering (New Energy Power Generation Engineering Technology) — Ref: ETDP/NEPG/2025
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have passed Mathematics and Physical Science with at least 60% in Grade 12.
- Have an overall average of 60% or higher in Grade 12.
- Be 30 years old or younger.
- Be unemployed and not currently studying.
- Be a South African citizen residing in Limpopo Province.
- Have no criminal record.
- Preference will be given to social grant recipients (confirmation letter from SASSA required).
- Have completed Grade 12 from the 2022 academic year to the current year.
Documents Required
Applicants must submit the following documents (in a single file upload on the eRecruitment system):
- Motivation letter (maximum two pages) explaining why you should be selected for the bursary.
- The reference number of the chosen qualification included in the motivation letter.
- Certified copy of Grade 12 Certificate.
- Statement of Results.
- Certified copy of South African ID.
- Proof of residence (not older than 3 months).
