Kirstenbosch Garden hosts Cape Town Carols this week

It’s Christmas in Cape Town, and the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden will play host to a festive showcase of carolling.

Cape Town Carols, hosted by the Rotary Club of Kirstenbosch, sponsored by Pick n Pay, and supported by Radio Tygerberg 104FM and Fine Music Radio, will take place at the famous gardens this week.

Here are all the important deets you need to know:

CAPE TOWN CAROLS: WHEN AND WHERE

The concert will start this Thursday, 18 December 2025, and will run until Sunday, 21 December 2025.

The concert area will open at 17:00 and will close around 21:15.

Tickets cost R175 each for adults. For scholars, it will cost R125 each. Children under the age of six can enter free. Entry into the gardens is free on the date of your ticket.

If you’re a Pick n Pay Smart Shopper member, you are able to purchase an upgraded ticket in a designated seating area; this includes one chair per paying guest for added comfort.

WHAT TO EXPECT

There will be various headline musical acts over the course of these four days. They are:

  • Majozi
  • Zolani Mahola and the Feminine Force
  • Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy
  • Cape Town Concert Brass & Some Friends Choir

Their respective performances will run from 18:00 until 19:00. At 19:30, the nativity pageant and carol singalongs will begin.
