Kim Kardashian was at the point of desperation when she turned up in a faceless outfit at the Academy Gala at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. She made an eight-word plea to her assistant, because of course, she couldn’t see anything at all.
A lip reader has now spoken out about what Kim appears to have said. Nicola Hickling told The Mirror: “Using advanced video enhancement software, I analysed the footage frame by frame and isolated Kim Kardashian’s speech patterns beneath her mask.”
She added how it “allowed her to confidently determine what she said to her assistant” and went on to say: “Kim appears visibly unsettled, she waves her hands in disbelief and shakes her head before insisting, ‘Don’t let go, I can’t see a thing.’
“She seems momentarily panicked and unsteady. Her assistant stays calm and supportive, replying, ‘Don’t worry, I’ve got you. I’ll lead you, just hold onto my hand,’” Nicola added, after an escort held up Kim’s nude gown while she flailed her arms, attempting not to fall.

Although Kim required some assistance, she appeared to “regain her composure and together they begin to walk away with more confidence.” And even though it’s not the first time she’s worn the masked look, Kim still wore a full face of make-up underneath!
She wore a similar outfit at the Met Gala in 2021, when she wore a black masked get-up, and has always had mixed reviews towards these bizarre looks. Personally, I can’t help but think she must be boiling underneath all of that material, and was it really worth it?
“I flew in my favourite makeup artist Mario [Dedivanovic] from New York, and this is kind of a last-minute thing, so I’m sure he’s not so happy with it,” Kim told Page Six. She did add, however, that she planned to take the face mask off inside the gala!
