KHAYA MTHETHWA SPEAKS ON HIS JOURNEY AFTER DIVORCE
In May, a viral clip resurfaced showing the pastor openly discussing the challenges he faced after his divorce from Kunene.
He admitted that rediscovering love had been difficult, sharing his vulnerability and emotional healing process with his congregation.
The video taken during a 2025 Easter church service revealed how he’s been confronting negativity and personal setbacks.
“Let me tell you about myself, I am confessing. The train ya mshado (of marriage) yanshiya (has left me behind), because I have lost too many great people, now I am attracting rubbish,” he said.
KHAYA MTHETHWA’S PAST DATING LIFE AND HEARTBREAK
The musician tied the knot with former Miss South Africa Ntando Kunene in 2017 but divorced two years later.
Before his marriage to Kunene, reports revealed that he had previously dated actress Nomzamo Mbatha in 2015.
Their relationship reportedly grew serious, with the Idols SA winner said to have been planning to marry Nomzamo Mbatha then.
Rumours later circulated that Mthethwa had been linked to actress Jessica Nkosi, which allegedly caused tension and eventual separation from Mbatha.
