The highly anticipated return of Kanye West to South Africa has been thrown into disarray just 12 days before the scheduled performance, with the concert officially postponed and control of the event completely restructured.
In a dramatic announcement, Yeezy LLC, the rapper’s official management, confirmed that the 13 December 2025 date at Ellis Park is now cancelled.
The decision follows a takeover of the entire production by Yeezy, which plans to expand the show into a “larger Yeezy led production” with global broadcast plans.
The original promoter, The Monyake Group, has been removed from the project due to “non compliance.”
Yeezy LLC assured all current ticket-holders that full refunds are guaranteed and will be processed via TicketPro.
A statement shared by Peter Jideonwo of Yeezy LLC confirmed the developments:
“Yeezy LLC confirms that Ye’s Johannesburg performance is being expanded into a larger Yeezy led production in South Africa… The performance previously scheduled for Saturday, 13 December 2025 will not be taking place on that date and is moving to a new date.”
The artist’s team stated they are now finalising the new date, venue, and detailed production and broadcast plans. New information is expected to be announced shortly via Ye’s verified channels and Yeezy LLC.
Despite the delay, the team reiterated that Ye remains “committed and excited to perform in South Africa.”
