In the latest season of Love Is Blind, Jordan introduced his five-year-old son, Luca, to his then fiancée, Meg. After they ended things, he said his biggest regret was letting Luca think he had a new stepmom. So, should single parents be going on Love Is Blind?
Has it ever actually worked?
Short answer – no. There have only ever been two single parents on Love Is Blind – Jordan from this season and Jessica Vestal from season six. Jordan didn’t make it to the altar because Meg said their lifestyles were too different, while Jessica didn’t even make it out of the pods after being stuck in a messy love triangle.
What does Jordan say about the experience?

Jordan was very upfront about being a father in the pods. It was one of the first things he mentioned to anyone he was getting to know, and he said it was an important part of getting married for him. But after him and Meg’s relationship fell apart, he’s opened up about his regrets.
“My son is at this young, tender age where stability is very important. I was regretful that we brought Megan in like, ‘Oh, this is your stepmom’, and then ripped her out of his life. For a 5-year-old, that’s not fair,” he said.
The 30-year-old made it very clear it wasn’t anything to do with Megan as a person, or even her unaired meet up and relationship with his son.
“Megan is an amazing person. She and Luca got along so great,” he said.
He added: “He doesn’t ask for a stepmom anymore. That was not a healthy thing for him to go through.”
Well, what about Jessica?

Jessica took a completely different route and kept her daughter private until she made a deeper connection.
When asked what she was looking for on Love Is Blind, Jessica said: “Someone who didn’t accept my daughter would be a total deal-breaker and a complete red flag because we’re a package deal.”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she clarified why she decided to keep her daughter private until things got serious with a connection.
“I really wanted to, like I said (on the show), give someone the opportunity to get to know me first and not lead with the fact that I’m a mother,” she said. “Although that is the most important part of who I am, it doesn’t define me.”
Judging from both Jessica and Jordan’s experience, it’s safe to say going on Love Is Blind as a single parent is a really big risk. It’s already a massive ask to marry someone after knowing them for a couple weeks. Involving young children makes things way more complicated, especially if things take a nasty turn. Blending a family takes a lot of work – it’s not something you can do in a couple of weeks.
