JEREMY Clarkson has revealed he was rushed to hospital hours after branding the NHS a “creaking old monster”.
The TV farmer and Sun columnist needed urgent medical treatment on the day his Sunday Times piece slating the health service was published.

Jeremy said yesterday he spent the night in Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital on October 5 after becoming “poorly”.
He was treated for an ailment he refuses to disclose because “that’s none of your business”.
Clarkson wrote in his latest ST column: “I needed urgent hospital treatment.
“The NHS was my only option.”
He called his treatment “Defcon 1 painful” adding: “They had to chisel me off the ceiling with a spatula afterwards.
“I was forced to stay the night, but it was OK.”
Jeremy — who had life-saving heart surgery a year ago — had a “very hot neck” when he realised he would have to be in an NHS ward.
And he was relieved when nobody there recognised him.
He praised the “spotless” hospital and kind medics, admitting: “I genuinely couldn’t find anything to moan about.”
But he has not changed his mind on the NHS, saying: “We as a nation cannot afford it.”
