In a clip posted to TikTok (@itsanewmeemj), she begins by explaining how her brain hasn’t caught up with how people now see her.

“It’s taken my head a lot longer to accept that that’s me — that I still look at pictures and think, ‘Oh my goodness, who’s that?’ It’s very, very strange and hard to navigate,” she admits.

Secondly, Emily admits that she’s now “visible” to certain types of people – something which she doesn’t like.

“I would like an invisibility cloak back, please, which is what I had when I was bigger,” she explains.

“Don’t like it. Stop looking at me and interacting with me. I am socially awkward.”

Next up, she says having loose skin makes it “really really difficult” to set a goal and feel happy at a goal weight.

She adds: “It’s a nightmare.”

Not stopping there, she explains how her weight loss seems to have made people think they can comment on her weight more than ever before.

“Apparently it’s up to everybody else to choose a goal for me and tell me that it’s time to stop,” she says.

Emily, who has also shared her weight loss journey on Instagram, goes on to say how another problem she’s encountered is that she can’t shave her armpits with ease anymore.

How to take Mounjaro safely

IF you’re thinking of starting Mounjaro, here’s everything you need to be aware of to ensure you use it safely.

Consult your doctor first

  • Discuss your medical history with a GP, especially if you have: thyroid issues, pancreatitis history, gastrointestinal disorders and kidney or liver issues.

Start a low dose and increase slowly

  • Starting dose is usually 2.5 mg once weekly, injected under the skin.
  • Typical progression: 2.5 mg → 5 mg → 7.5 mg → up to 15 mg weekly (in 2.5 mg increments every four weeks, as tolerated).

Administer it properly

  • Inject once a week, same day each week, with or without food.
  • Inject subcutaneously in stomach, thigh, or upper arm and rotate injection sites weekly.

Watch for side effects

  • Common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, decreased appetite and fatigue.
  • Seek medical help if you experience any of the following serious side effects: signs of pancreatitis (severe stomach pain), allergic reactions and kidney problems (low urine output, swelling).

“If you see red marks on my pictures or videos under my arms — just mind your business,” she jokes.

And last but not least, she says she’s had to spend loads of money on clothes but stull struggles with what to wear because she’s got “no identity.”

“I don’t know what I can and can’t wear, and it’s very confusing,” she adds.

The video has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 727,000 views and several comments – with others also sharing the negative consequences of using Mounjaro.

“It’s uncomfortable now when sleep on my side. Hellloooo knee bones,” wrote one.

A second penned: “Constipation is the worst for me.”

A third commented: “Not on Mounjaro but I’ve lost 8 stone and I get every single one of these.”
