About the Skills Development Bursary 2026
The Imerys Learning and Development Bursary Programme 2026 is targeted at:
- Imerys employees
- Their dependants or children
- Community members in and around Mashishini, Lydenburg
The bursary supports undergraduate studies in fields critical to the mining and minerals sector, helping to build a pipeline of skilled professionals who can contribute meaningfully to the industry.
Fields of Study Supported
The bursary is available for Degrees and Diplomas in the following areas:
Core Mining and Technical Disciplines
- Chemistry
- Production
- Metallurgy
- Geology
- Engineering
- Health and Safety
- Environmental Science
Additional Mining-Aligned Fields
Applicants in other fields closely aligned to mining operations are also encouraged to apply, including:
- Accounting
- Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- Human Resources

- Preference will be given to applicants from Mashishini, Lydenburg
- Sponsorship will depend on:
