After a five year hiatus, Renault will be launching a new model of the iconic Twingo.

The Twingo E-Tech electric will be officially revealed at a press conference on November 6th.

Fans of the model will be able to pre-order it thanks to Renault rolling out a Twingo R Pass skip-the-line programme.

The pass offers early access to orders before the official opening to the general public.

Also, members will be given priority in both the production and delivery.

While the car won’t officially arrive until next year, the programme is set to launch in a matter of days on October 15.

All customers that place an order during the specified period will also gain access to other exclusive benefits.

The new Twingo was developed in a bid to make electric vehicles more affordable.

Developed in under just two years, the manufacturer is aiming to sell the electric city car at a sub-€20,000 starting point (£17,300).

If sold at this price point the car will be among the cheapest EVs currently on the market.

Renault also hopes to capture the spirit of the first generation Twingo with the new model.

Ahead of its grand reveal next month, a teaser campaign has been released to offer a brief overview of the new vehicle.

The four newly released pictures promise an exterior design that honours its 1993 predecessor.

It will be the same compact and efficient city car, but also undergo some detail changes, getting an exciting new spruce up.

The wheels will be smaller and the three small openings beneath the windscreen have been flattened down.

The new model will also feature a glass roof.

The car will join the manufacturers other line up of electric motors – The Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault 4 E-Tech electric, Megane E-tech electric and Scenic E-tech electric.

Similarly to the new 4 and 5, the new Twingo will also sit on a AmpR EV platform.

The new Twingo is the third of Renault’s trio of retro-styled electric revivals of classic models.

The concept was first shown in 2023, with a prototype being released earlier this year.
