I tried Shark’s FacialPro Glow for an at-home facial — I was amazed by the results

AS someone who resents the amount of money (and time) I spend on beauty appointments, I’m always keen to try a tool that will give me salon results at home.

Enter Shark’s FacialPro Glow, the new skincare gadget that promises “professional glow and sculpting” in minutes — and I put it to the test.

Since Shark entered the beauty world in 2022 with the launch of its hair styler (read Sun Shopping’s Shark FlexStyle review), the brand has become one of the most trusted for innovative beauty tech tools.

Shark’s LED mask is one of my prized skincare possessions (you can read my full Shark CryoGlow review), so I was keen to try out another device that could elevate my routine.

Shark FacialPro Glow: Quickfire Q&A

How much is it? The Shark FacialPro Glow costs £299.99.

Who’s it best for? Those wanting to step up their skincare routine, those who want to save on professional facials, and those looking to treat blackheads and puffiness.

What we loved: The cordless design, how easy it is to use, and that it leaves the skin looking fresh and glowy.

What we didn’t love: It’s expensive. So it may not be essential enough to justify the cosy.

Unboxing the Shark FacialPro Glow for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by its compact design.

It comes in a pretty lilac case, with organised slots for all of the attachments.

Eager to set up my at-home spa, I tried out the gadget in the evening after removing my make-up and cleansing my skin.

Everything is easy to set up, as the depuffer and exfoliator slot right onto the power hub (you only use one at a time).

There are also four tips (that attach to the exfoliator head), one for using across the face and the other for the T-zone.

I tried the trending Shark CryoGlow LED mask to see if it’s worth it

I like that the tips also come with two gentle versions for those with sensitive skin (although I opted for the regular ones).

There’s also a AHA+BHA Detox Exfoliator Gel and a Hydro Infuse BHA Hydrator for prepping the skin before the treatment.

As it can take time to get to grips with new beauty tools, I like that everything was clearly labelled with stickers, and I stuck with the instruction manual to make sure I was using everything correctly.

My face gets quite puffy in the mornings (particularly after a heavy night), so the Depuffi attachment is the one I was most excited to try.

The tool turns blue for InstaChill mode and red for InstaHeat

If you have Shark’s LED mask, you’ll be familiar with the brand’s InstaChill setting (used on the mask’s eye patches), and the FacialPro has the same setting for cooling the skin.

The curved design is also great for contouring the jawline (in a similar way to a gua sha).

I use my ice roller daily for keeping my puffiness to a minimum, but the cooling effect is why I’m swapping it out for the Shark tool.

It glided across my skin nicely after I applied a face oil, and the small cordless design means I can pack it in my bag when I go on trips.

At the touch of a button, the device switches from cold to warm within seconds (there are also three temperature settings for adjusting to suit you).

The InstaHeat setting is for de-stressing facial muscles, improving radiance and prepping the skin for the extracting attachments.

Gliding it across my skin felt equally as relaxing, and I’m excited to see whether the lasting effects match the luxurious feel.

I knew that that the Depuffi attachment would impress me, but I was less confident in the exfoliating part of the device.

At-home blackhead extraction is sometimes frowned upon for being harsh on the skin, but I can’t help myself when it comes to squeezing them myself.

I applied the Detox Gel and got to work, moving the device across the skin.

As the extractor uses suction, it left my skin with some slight redness, but it only lasted for a few minutes.

While they didn’t all disappear, I could see that the FacialGlow had successfully removed some of the blackheads on my chin and nose after just one use.

Shark’s newest gadget is great for performing at-home facials

I followed up with the hydrating gel, moving the device around the skin to complete the at-home facial.

My skin looked immediately glowy, and I was seriously impressed with how many blackheads it removed in such a short space of time.

The whole process only took around 20 minutes, and that included getting everything set up.

I’m going to be using the Depuffi attachment daily, and will be giving myself the full facial as part of my weekly self-care routine (and I’ll be reporting back with my long-term results!).

The verdict: is the Shark FacialPro Glow worth it?

While it’s too early to comment on the lasting results of the beauty tech tool, I’m pleasantly surprised by the initial performance.

The FacialPro is easy to use, and there’s no faffing around when it comes to setting up.

I like that it’s cordless, and that the attachments can be removed (so you only pack the ones you need when travelling).

Even after just one use, my skin looked clearer and brighter, and it worked really well to minimise my puffiness.

At £300, the tool doesn’t come cheap, but it’s worth the investment if you’re looking to save on frequent facials.
