The savvy saver’s first rule is that she only ever eats out on special occasions, or when she’s doing mystery shopping, which is where you review meals in exchange for free food.
She added that she only ever has a takeaway about three times a year.
Charlie’s second rule is to prioritise putting her savings into a stocks and shares ISA, so that she can see her money grow.
She is currently 25% of the way towards her £100,000 goal.
For this penny pincher, work does not end at 5pm, and Charlie revealed she spends her evenings doing mystery shopping, market research and product testing.
“My 20s are for making money so that I have more freedom in my 30s”, she said.
She added that her goal is to make £27 a day, as over a year this will add up to a whopping £10,000.
Every month, Charlie allocates herself just £200 for non-essentials, and only uses her credit card for rewards.
“I say no to going out with friends if it would take me over my £200 monthly budget”, she admitted.
Finally, Charlie makes a strict budget for everything and buys gift cards where she can to earn cashback to overpay on her mortgage.
“I don’t bury my hand in the sand regardless of whether it’s good or bad”, she added, referring to her financial situation.
Charlie’s @charlie_louise_cc video has likely left many impressed, as it has racked up over 188,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on her money-saving hacks.
One person said: “These are really good rules.
“I’m so jealous of your stocks and shares balances.”
