I had my first BBL at 17 & almost died on the operating table but I can’t stop getting surgery, I’ve spent £22k

A SURGERY addict has revealed that she had her first BBL at the age of 17 and now, can’t stop going under the knife.

Not only has Victoria spent over £22,000 on BBLs, but she even had a friend die after a trip to the same clinic.

Not only has Victoria had three Brazilian Butt Lifts, but she almost died and even more shockingly, tragically lost a friend whilst visiting the same clinic[/caption]

Victoria Errigo, a dancer living in Miami, almost died herself after going under the knife, but that hasn’t put her off.

Revealing all to Truly on a recent episode of Hooked on the Look, Victoria, who is known on social media as ‘Hungarian Doll,’ explained: “I’m addicted to BBLs, I’ve had three BBLs with extreme complications –  I’ve spent $30,000 [£22,380].”

A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a painful surgery where fat is taken from the stomach, lips, lower back, or thighs and transferred to the buttocks.

This results in an hourglass figure and a larger bum and can cost up to £8,000.

Not only is it expensive, but it is incredibly dangerous and as Victoria knows, in some cases can lead to death.

Victoria confirmed that she started dancing at the age of 15 and felt a strong pressure to have the perfect body

She opened up on feeling “insecure” about her figure and shared her desire to be “super thick.”

As a result, Victoria decided to get her first BBL whilst still a teen – and it didn’t go quite as she expected.

‘Like a meat factory’

Revealing her horror experience, Victoria continued: “I was given local anaesthesia, I felt everything – I’m screaming, I’m crying. The doctor who was doing my surgery said, ‘’if you scream one more time, I’m going to leave you on this table.’

“It was like a meat factory – girls just laying down. They threw me on one of the beds, I laid down for 30 minutes and then I left.

“My surgeon didn’t even park in a parking zone, he pulled in to do a BBL real quick with his hazards on and then pulled off, that’s how quick my BBL was, no care no nothing.”

And things were equally as chaotic with her most recent procedure and  due to the extreme toll on her body during the surgery, Victoria “almost died.”

She recalled: “I was really scared. Everybody in the hospital spoke Spanish, I woke up in the hospital with two blood transfusions, one in each arm.

“I was on my back, so I’m like, they’re just trying to keep me alive at this point – it wasn’t even about the BBL anymore.”

Losing a friend

Not only this, but Victoria discussed her friend’s tragic death after surgery, as she explained: “Me and my home girl actually got a BBL in the same clinic – I found out that she passed away.

“I felt very responsible for her death, it’s really hard to live with. I think I was moving way too fast with my decision and that obviously had its consequences. I really miss my friend, so much.”

What are the risks of getting surgery abroad?

IT’S important to do your research if you’re thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad.

It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks.

Safety standards in different countries may not be as high.

No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad.

If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment.

Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK.

Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems.

Currently, Victoria is recovering from surgery and has to wear extremely tight straps and waist trainers to ensure her derrière heals properly.

Not only this, but she can’t sit down either – however, this isn’t something that bothers this brunette.

‘BBL yourself to death’

Victoria’s family aren’t keen on her going under the knife, as she revealed she is often told by loved ones that she is “doing too much.”

As well as this, other family members have told her she will “BBL yourself to death” and claimed that she looks “extreme.”

Despite this, Victoria beamed: “People who judge my look, I don’t really care. I do what I want whenever I want, you can’t stop me.

I’m kind of just playing with my life at this point

“Right now, I’m happy with my body, but who knows down the line.”

Victoria shared her message for other young people who may be considering the surgery, as she advised: “Please do not pick a surgeon based on Instagram – you are not going to find your doctor through edited photos of the clinic, glorifying all their photos.

“There’s definitely a risk in getting more BBLs because it’s one of the most dangerous cosmetic surgeries. I feel like you got away with it once, like you’re gonna get away with it twice.

“I did it three times, so I’m kind of just playing with my life at this point.”

Social media users react

YouTube users were left stunned by Victoria’s surgery story and many raced to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person said: “Her friend died. That is the universe telling her to STOP!”

What are Brazilian Butt Lifts and why are they so popular?

Buttock enlargement surgery – known as a Brazilian butt-lift (BBL) – is used to make the bum look bigger, rounded and lifted.

Surgeons transfer fat, inject filler or insert silicone-filled implants.

It is the fastest growing cosmetic procedure but also one of the most dangerous, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

Many patients are travelling to the likes of Turkey or seeking out unregistered surgeons in the UK and are not given full information on the risks.

BBLs carry the highest risk of all cosmetic surgeries – with more than one death occurring per 4,000 procedures.

Due to celebrities undergoing such ops, many women are hoping to emulate their looks.

Consultant clinical psychologist Dr Anu Sayal-Bennett, a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, told the BBC: “Despite there being so much about body positivity, there are pressures for women – and men too – to look a certain way.”

Many people travel abroad for the procedure because it is cheaper and advertising is “terribly seductive”, combined with the idea of a beach holiday, added Dr Sayal-Bennett.

Another added: “The really sad part is that she got a BBL but was already beautiful the way she was.”

A third commented: “She needs a therapist not a surgeon.”

Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: “She looked way better natural.”

At the same time, another penned: “I hope she doesn’t get anymore, the surgery is so risky. She should just wear a corset if she wants the hourglass figure.”
