Limpopo’s music queen, Makhadzi, has been ordered to take a mandatory three month hiatus from the stage after narrowly surviving a car accident on New Year’s Eve.
The Sesi Ka Rose star was discharged from hospital this week to continue her recovery at home.
However, medical professionals have imposed a strict 10 week recovery period due to the nature of her injuries, effectively cancelling all immediate live performances.
The accident occurred on 31 December 2025 on the N1 outside Mokopane.
According to reports, the singer had alighted from her vehicle when she was struck by a passing car.
Despite the severity of the incident, Makhadzi’s management confirmed her condition is stable and her voice remains unaffected.
In a message to her “Khadzinators,” the singer remained resilient, describing her survival as a “second chance to breathe.”
“I am a soldier, and I believe God is still going to do a miracle,” she shared.
“I will have to remain at home care for 10 weeks without performing, but I will continue working in the studio.”
