The 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) results will be officially released on Monday, 12 January 2026, following confirmation from Umalusi.
This comes after the Gauteng High Court dismissed an urgent application by the Information Regulator to block the publication of matric results, clearing the way for their release using learners’ examination numbers, as has long been standard practice.
Quality assurance
Umalusi confirmed that the marking of examination scripts is scheduled to be completed by 18 December 2025, after which standardisation and quality assurance processes will be finalised ahead of the January release.
Learners will be able to access their results through official Department of Basic Education channels, including schools and approved online platforms, once the results are formally made public on 12 January.
