RANDY-teen hit comedy The Inbetweeners is heading back with more toe-curling antics.
But what has happened to the stars since they had us all cringing and belly laughing during their last outing more than a decade ago?

The Sun revealed this week that the comedy will return as early as next year, with the funnyman four all having confirmed they would sign on again.
“Bus w***ers” and fans across the ages will be rejoicing that the blunderous “P***y Patrol” will be back.
The coming-of-age E4 show, which had three TV series from 2008 to 2010, plus films in 2011 and 2014, centred on the awkward lads as they unsuccessfully tried to find love, experimented with booze and drugs, and bunked off school.
It launched the careers of many of the cast including Rivals bombshell Emily Atack and comedy star Greg Davies.
Here Inbetweeners superfan Josh Saunders looks at what its stars have been up to since.
Simon Bird
Will McKenzie

SIMON has been lined up for 2027 Star Wars flick Starfighter, alongside Hollywood heavyweight Ryan Gosling.
It’s a galaxy far, far away from “briefcase w***er” Will McKenzie, who was as famed for his awkwardness as his unusual backpack alternative.
In one memorable scene, in a Yoda-like voice he tells a girl, “Feisty one, you are.”
Simon went on to get a part in The Harry Hill Movie, appeared on Drunk History UK – in which comics relate their favourite historical tales while wellied – and hit sitcom Friday Night Dinner.
In 2023, he directed the BBC’s Such Brave Girls, which a critic called “hands down the funniest British comedy of the year”.
Away from the spotlight, mega-private Simon, 41, married screenwriter Lisa Owens in 2012.
The pair, left, met while performing in a comedy sketch at the University of Cambridge and have two kids.
Joe Thomas
Simon Cooper

JOE bounced to another coming-of-age comedy, Fresh Meat, playing student Kingsley for four series, and featured in double-glazing sitcom White Gold.
He also played Noel Gallagher, alongside Inbetweeners co-star James Buckley as Liam, in an Oasis-mocking Comic Relief spoof this year.
His unlucky-in-love character Simon famously punched his penis after suffering “stage fright” during a rare sexual encounter, while shouting, “Just work, you stupid f***ing thing. Get big!”
Joe, 41, is engaged to Hannah Tointon, 37, who played his on-screen girlfriend Tara Brown in The Inbetweeners. They have a daughter.
Hannah is the younger sister of former EastEnder and Strictly star Kara, and went on to appear in Call The Midwife, Death In Paradise, Penny Dreadful and Mr Selfridge.
Emily Atack
Charlotte ‘Big Jugs’ Hinchcliffe

STUNNER Emily Atack used her sex appeal and solid humour to play Charlotte and later leveraged it to forge a remarkable small-screen career.
The lads’ mag favourite earned more fans on Keith Lemon shows such as Celebrity Juice, and made it through to week eight in 2010’s Dancing On Ice.
In 2018 she was runner-up in I’m A Celebrity and went on to co-host its spin-off Extra Camp.
The Emily Atack Show – which mixed stand-up, impressions and sketches – ran for three series until 2022.
Most recently, Emily wowed in the TV dramatisation of the late Jilly Cooper’s book Rivals.
In the saucy series, her character was caught playing tennis naked with her hunky lover.
Sadly, the 35-year-old has been bombarded with hundreds of unwanted explicit pictures and messages daily since Inbetweeners.
Now a mum-of-one and engaged to scientist Alistair Garner, she courageously spoke out about being sexually assaulted at work “throughout my career” both on-set and at wrap parties.
James Buckley
Jay Cartwright

James Buckley, 38, is married to ex-Glamour model Clair Meek[/caption]
FOUNDER of the “P***y Patrol”, serial liar Jay Cartwright once claimed to have enjoyed a “massive orgy” at a caravan park, despite being a virgin, among many other bogus claims.
But behind the bravado of the insult-a-minute character was a sensitivity stemming from his dad Terry’s endless ridicule, which endeared him to viewers.
In reality, James Buckley, 38, is married to ex-Glamour model Clair Meek, with him left, and they’ve made a fortune with YouTube series At Home With The Buckleys, below, which boasts 54 million views.
He once made £10,000 a week on celebrity personalised video site Cameo, mainly calling people “bus w***ers”, and was the first non-US star to rake in $1million on it.
James has also starred in White Gold, US sitcom I Feel Bad, and portrayed a young Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock & Chips.
He met Clair on Twitter and flirted with her after spotting a Beatles tattoo on her stomach – a shared “obsession” that inspired their sons’ names Harrison and Jude.
She had only seen a few Inbetweeners episodes before they met and told us he’s “nothing like Jay, thankfully”. He’s “quite shy” but “very funny, really funny”.
Blake Harrison
Neil Sutherland

GULLIBLE Neil was famed for his rigid robot dance and endless stupidity like believing Swansea was an animal, the Bible was a ghost story and questioning how long a lunch hour was.
Since the show, Blake Harrison, who played Neil, has bagged parts in Doctor Who, Death In Paradise and I Hate Suzie.
In the 2016 Dad’s Army remake he played naive Private Pike – who is frequently lambasted as “stupid boy” by Captain Mainwaring.
Other big moments include voicing yellow digger Scoop in animated children’s favourite Bob The Builder since 2015, which likely thrilled his two kids, and scoring the 2018 Soccer Aid winning penalty.
Blake, 40, says co-star Emily was his unwitting wing woman, having invited him on a pub crawl in 2009, during which he met his future wife.
He married theatre publicist Kerry Ann Lynch in 2016.
Vladimir Consigny
Patrice

His character Patrice ended up in bed with ‘big jugs’ Charlotte[/caption]
SEXY French exchange student Patrice broke hearts aplenty with his smouldering stare, constant smoking and “cool guy” all-black clothes, topped with a leather jacket.
He ended up in bed with “big jugs” Charlotte, left, and every woman onscreen fawned over him including Will’s “fit mum” Polly.
Actor Vladimir Consigny, now 37, found the part “hilarious” and amusingly told us “most of the UK knows me but no one in France”.
The morning after his episode aired in 2009, he awoke to 4,004 friend requests on Facebook and tens of thousands more followed.
The Parisian’s biggest gig since has been starring with Willem Dafoe and Mads Mikkelsen in 2018 Vincent van Gogh film At Eternity’s Gate.
But nothing has lived up to his Inbetweeners’ fame. Vladimir, left, told us he’d sign up again – saying the lads should visit Patrice in France.
Emily Head
Carli D’Amato

CARLI D’Amato constantly broke lovestruck Simon’s heart – until a final fantastic moment where he rejected her for someone else.
During one episode, Carli organises a charity fashion show at school, below. In it, Simon models skimpy trunks – and shocks students with a wardrobe malfunction.
Since the show, Emily Head, 36, had her biggest gig in Emmerdale, playing Rebecca White, Chrissie’s feisty sister, for two years until 2018.
The soap role saw her bag best newcomer nominations in 2017 at the National Television Awards and Inside Soap Awards.
Emily has also had small parts in Robot Chicken, Doctors, The Syndicate and Life as well as appearing in multiple theatre productions.
The daughter of actor Anthony Head, Emily attended the Brit School in Croydon alongside singers Adele and Katy B.
David Schaal
Terry Cartwright

ULTIMATE ball-busting dad Terry Carwright was the bane of son Jay’s life and took deep pleasure in humiliating him in front of anyone who would listen.
From comparing his penis to “a McDonald’s chip” to branding his girlfriend “a f***ing pig” and gleefully calling their dog “a sing machine”, there was no joke he wouldn’t touch.
Since Inbetweeners’, David Schaal’s biggest hit was 2024 film Bermondsey Tales alongside ex-EastEnder Maisie Smith and The Mummy films’ John Hannah.
The Grange Hill alumni also made his third character appearance in EastEnders four years ago and notched up six film credits last year alone, four of which were feature-length.
Now 62, David has another lucrative gig – roasting people as Terry on Cameo for £30-a-pop. He told us Terry was inspired by his “p**-taking” Essex-based, West Ham-supporting uncles “who laugh at everything and find everything funny.”
Greg Davies
Mr Gilbert

BATTLE-axe educator Mr Gilbert, or ‘Phil’ as Will constantly called him to his annoyance, loved nothing more than ridiculing the Inbetweeners gang.
And amusingly Greg Davies used to be a teacher himself before turning his mishaps, including wearing his mum’s thong to school while hungover, into stand-up comedy routines.
The Welsh funnyman, 57, regularly sells out his tour dates and is best known for being the no-nonsense host of game show Taskmaster, which has run for 10 years.
He also fronted sitcoms Man Down, The Cleaner and Cuckoo, as well as having cameos in Brassic and Doctor Who. Also, he once appeared in ChuckleVision.
