Fresh blow for Brooklyn Beckham as he’s caught up in new legal battle with tennis star Roger Federer

Brooklyn Beckham has had a legal run-in with a major shoe brand backed by Roger Federer over his hot sauce company.

This is the THIRD time his firm Buster Hot Sauce Inc has clashed with big corporations over the name of the spicy condiment Cloud23.

Earlier this summer, we exclusively reported how Brooklyn, 26, was facing a legal battle from a booze brand.

He has also ran into issues with his hot sauce firm and various spin offs with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

On this occasion, it provoked the ire of the trendy trainer firm On Cloud, which has the unique soles with holes and tennis legend Federer has pumped in $50 million of his own cash to become an investor.

Other celebrity ambassadors for the brand include Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber and Tom Holland’s girlfriend Zendaya.

They put in a tentative objection to the trademark application for Cloud23 under classifications such as food, booze, sauces, live streaming and sports equipment.

On Cloud enlisted hotshot celeb lawyers Bristows LLP to fight their corner.

Thankfully for Brooklyn’s sake, it looks like the situation was resolved amicably, as On Cloud never carried on its objection threat, and the trademark was registered.

The 26-year-old has already been in a legal tussle with Becks beer over his burger brand Beck’s Buns.

This ended when his company agreed to delete the two classifications which are linked to booze.

A Californian wine business Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars also objected when he tried to trademark the shortened name for Cloud23, “C23”.

Similar to the Becks case, Buster Hot Sauce Inc backed down and deleted all classes of alcohol from the application.

Brooklyn launched his first hot sauce, Cloud 23, last year and said: “It’s been a passion project of mine for the last 2½ years, something I’ve literally put everything into.

“I’ve never worked so hard on anything in my life.”

FAMILY ISSUES

His parents attended the launch event for his hot sauce in LA.

However, insiders have now said said their relationship has “never been more fractured” amid the ongoing Beckham family feud.

As the conflict rumbles on, it has been revealed that Brooklyn had splashed out a cool £11million alongside his wife Nicola on a new Hollywood mansion.

It means he has put down roots 5,540 miles from his London-based dad David and mum Victoria – and shows no sign of returning home any time soon.

Previously, a source said: “Brooklyn’s wife is American, as are her family whom he adores, and he feels his life now is Stateside.

“As an influencer he can work from anywhere but Brooklyn believes he has more opportunities in LA.

“It will be a dagger to the heart for his parents.”
