Purpose of the Role
The Assistant General Worker position exists to provide general site assistance and operational support to site teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:
- Collaborating with site teams to support operational goals and targets
- Assisting with daily inspections in designated work areas and reporting hazards or deviations
- Supporting pipeline and valve operations under supervision
- Assisting with problem-solving of operational challenges and escalating issues when required
- Performing general site activities as assigned to support operations
- Carrying out basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Executing tasks in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Complying with all safety rules, regulations and company procedures
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience
Skills, Qualities and Abilities Required
