A wet weekend is on the cards for the North West, KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State.
NORTH WEST
The central parts of the North West have been issued with a Yellow Level 2 warning. Severe thunderstorms are expected, with heavy downpours, damaging winds, plenty of hail and excessive lightning.
MAHIKENG
Mahikeng will be partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers. Temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday will range between 19°C and 31°C.
KWAZULU-NATAL
The north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal are in for disruptive rain, with heavy downpours that could lead to flooding on roads and in some settlements. A Yellow Level 4 warning is in place.
DURBAN
Durban can expect cloudy conditions with isolated showers and periods of rain. Temperatures will sit between 22°C and 27°C over the weekend.
FREE STATE
The Free State also has a Yellow Level 2 warning in place. Severe thunderstorms are expected, bringing heavy rain, damaging winds, large hail and excessive lightning. This could lead to localised flooding and damage to settlements and infrastructure.
BLOEMFONTEIN
Bloemfontein will be partly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers. Expect lows of around 19°C and highs reaching about 32°C.
