South African musician J’Something and his wife Cordelia are celebrating a major milestone today – 10 years of marriage.
Reflecting on a decade together, the Micasa singer shared heartfelt thoughts on love, commitment, and the sacred nature of partnership.
J’Something reflected on how, over the years, even the smallest moments have grown richer.
“The last dance is sweeter than the first. The last kiss just as unique as the first. The last hug even warmer than the first,” he wrote. “Everything just keeps getting better, richer, stronger.”
For him, the journey has highlighted the rewards of true commitment.
“The fruits that fall from the labour of loving another are so sweet,” he said, noting that marriage, beyond its legal or societal definition, is a sacred gift. “To have someone to walk through this life with, hand in hand, heart to heart, is extraordinary.”
J’Something also cited renowned psychiatrist M. Scott Peck to describe love: “The will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth.” He expressed deep gratitude for his wife’s unwavering support throughout the years.
“@cocodafonseca, you have been such a blessing in my life. You continue to extend yourself for my growth, for my becoming, and for that I am eternally grateful,” he wrote.
J’Something and his wife have been together for over fourteen years.
