Rassie Erasmus’s men opened their five-match tour with a win over Japan at Wembley Stadium and then beat France at the Stade de France. Their most recent win over Italy at the Allianz Stadium in Turin kept them unbeaten to date.

Next weekend, England’s Matthew Carley will have the whistle for the much-anticipated match.

He will be assisted by compatriots Karl Dickson and Christophe Ridley.

Completing what will be an all-England set of match officials will be Andrew Jackson (TMO) and Dan Jones who will be the Foul Play Review Officer (FPRO).

Springboks’ Test record under Matthew Carley

Carley, 40, has refereed the Springboks on eight previous occasions, but never against Ireland.

South Africa have won six of their eight Tests with Carley in charge for a win percentage of 75%.
