For years rapper and producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has been open about his disdain for Sean “Diddy” Combs, and trolled him online on the back of his reputation for his “freak-offs” and abuse of many victims.
Through Netflix, Jackson has released a four-part documentary about the rapper as the executive producer. He worked alongside director Alexandria Stapleton.
The documentary includes never-before-seen footage filmed by Combs, following him days before his arrest. According to NBC News, Combs’ legal team claims the footage was never authorised for release.
Kicking off Combs’s legal issues was Cassie Ventura, his former long-term girlfriend, who famously sued Combs and in one day walked away with a $20 million (R341 957 210) settlement, according to the BBC. The lawsuit was over the years of sexual and physical abuse at the hands of the music mogul.
The abuse was later substantiated by shocking CCTV footage of Cassie trying to escape Diddy at a hotel, and him running after her while dressed in only a towel, beating and dragging her back to their room.
Combs has since been sentenced to 50 months in prison and fined $500,000 (R8 557 264) for prostitution-related crimes linked to the sex parties. He was, however, cleared of the more serious charges of sex-trafficking and racketeering.
