There have been updates in the Celeste Rivas death investigation, because her alleged ex-boyfriend, D4vd, has transferred his multiple homes into his mother’s name.
Besides initially “fully cooperating” with authorities and quickly deleting a TikTok comment, D4vd has not publicly commented on the case of Celeste Rivas. The 15-year-old’s body was found in his car in September after she had been declared missing in 2024.
Despite not being named as an official suspect, last week, he hired a criminal defence attorney whose previous clients include Harvey Weinstein, Lindsay Lohan, Kanye West, Mel Gibson, Britney Spears, and Reese Witherspoon. The lawyer, coupled with cancelling his tour and transferring his homes to his mum, has Twitter talking about the case once again.

D4vd updates are scarce, but he just transferred ownership of his homes
After his $20k a month LA rental was raided by police, with authorities taking electronic equipment in as evidence, D4vd moved out of the property. Though it’s not currently known where he is residing, he did make a “strategic” move with his other properties.
As per documents obtained by TMZ, D4vd transferred ownership of two properties in Houston, Texas, to his mother through the Thorn Rose Trust. The trust is believed to have been named after the singer’s 2023 EP Petals To Thorns.
D4vd took action on one property on September 18, which was the same day that police responded to fake 911 calls from the property. His family had seemingly moved in already, as they were the ones who answered the door to the police. The other transfer was made on September 22.

Again, D4vd has not been named as an official suspect in the investigation, but that hasn’t stopped Twitter from speculating about the case. Some called the move “strategic”, as others said it pointed to the investigation heating up.
“Criminal lawyer, cancelled his tour, started transferring properties, and the girl was found in his car wearing the same clothes from his concert—yet he still hasn’t been detained,” one person wrote.
Another said: “So the DAY he was swatted and the caller said there was a dead girl at the house, he transferred the deed to his mom?!? That’s…hella suspicious!”
