Chelsea Football Club have confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new men’s head coach, securing the Englishman on a contract running until 2032.
The 41-year-old arrives at Stamford Bridge following a highly successful stint in Ligue 1 with RC Strasbourg.
During his debut season in France, Rosenior guided the club to European qualification, ending a 19-year drought for the side.
Rosenior’s move to West London marks a return to English football, where he previously earned plaudits for his coaching roles at Hull City and Derby County.
His tactical reputation has grown steadily, culminating in his recent success overseas which caught the attention of the Chelsea board.
Upon his arrival at the Bridge, Rosenior expressed his pride in joining the two-time European champions.
“I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club,” Rosenior said.
“This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies.”
