CORONATION Street has swept the board at tonight’s Inside Soap Awards – knocking EastEnders into second place.
The ITV soap impressed fans who voted for it to take the crown as Best Soap for the second year running as well as a host of other top awards.

Fan favourites Alison King and Vicky Myers took home the Best Partnership gong for their turns as Carla Connor and Lisa Swain – AKA Swarla.
Vicky also took the award for Best Actress, while Jack P Shepherd won for Best Comic Performance.
Best Storyline also went to Coronation Street for Mason’s death and Abi Webster’s subsequent PTSD ordeal.
Inside Soap editor Sarah Ellis said: “It’s been an incredible year of drama, and the results in our Best Soap category were the closest they’ve ever been.
“Corrie’s win tops off a stellar year for the soap, and is no doubt helped by the huge popularity of Best Partnership winners Alison King and Vicky Myers, aka fan favourites Swarla.”
Meanwhile, EastEnders was knocked into second place after their NTAs double-win.
Steve McFadden was crowned Best Actor for his powerful performance as Phil Mitchell, and Laura Doddington picked up the Best Newcomer award for her portrayal of wicked Nicola Mitchell.
Ex-EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry was also named Best Villain for the second year in a row, while his former co-star James Bye won Best Exit following his character Martin Fowler’s heartbreaking death in the show’s 40th anniversary live episode.
Over at Emmerdale the Best Family trophy was won by Emmerdale’s Dingle clan for a whopping fifth time – more than any other family in the history of the Inside Soap Awards – while teenager Amelia Flanagan was named Best Young Performer for the fourth time.
Emmerdale also picked up the Best Showstopper accolade – a trophy awarded to a showcase stunt or episode – for the much-lauded limo crash disaster, which saw the soap submerge the vehicle in an icy lake, killing three beloved characters as the catastrophe unfolded.
Rounding out the awards, Hollyoaks scooped one in its 30th year with original star Nick Pickard getting an Outstanding Achievement award.
Neighbours was also honoured with the team behind the show being given an accolade too.
Finally, the readers named EastEnders’ Heather Peace their Soap Superstar of 2025, for her “courageous and inspiring” portrayal of Eve Panesar-Unwin, calling her “a Northern powerhouse” and “an icon who has always fought for others.”
“All of the soaps have shone brightly in 2025,” said Inside Soap editor Sarah Ellis.

ARSENAL will pay tribute to former academy talent Billy Vigar before their Champions League game on Wednesday.
The Chichester City striker died aged 21 after suffering a significant brain injury during an Isthmian League Premier Division match at Wingate & Finchley.

Before the clash against Olympiacos, following a PA announcement, Arsenal will project Vigar’s image onto the big screens at the Emirates.
The club’s under-21s also had a minute’s silence and wore black armbands in their 1-0 win at Derby on Friday.
Vigar was a graduate of the Arsenal academy, leaving the club in 2024, and also had spells at Derby, Eastbourne Borough and Hastings.
It is thought the injury was caused when he collided with a concrete wall.
The FA have announced that they will conduct an immediate review, working with leagues and clubs.
That will focus on the safety of perimeter walls and boundaries around pitches in the National League system.
Both Chichester City, and last weekend’s opponents Wingate & Finchley, saw their scheduled matches postponed last Saturday.

The latter have also called off their next two home games, while pledging to install safety padding around their Maurice Rebak Stadium home.
A statement read: “Out of respect for the memory of Billy Vigar, the club has taken the decision to postpone this week’s two home fixtures on Tuesday night vs Folkestone and Thursday night’s FA Youth Cup match.
“Following such tragic circumstances there is currently no appetite for football at the Maurice Rebak Stadium.
“The club have been in full discussions with the FA and we would like to thank them for both their understanding and actions.
“We would also like to thank the Professional Footballers’ Association who have been a support in dealing with our own players’ welfare.
“The club is incredibly mindful of the debate that followed Billy’s passing and intend to install rubber safety padding in the ground once it has received full accreditation from the relevant sanctioning authorities.”
