Awkward moment Love Islander Megan praises famous pal’s amazing relationship… without realising they’ve secretly SPLIT

LOVE Island newbie Megan Forte Clarke gushed over good pal Harriett Blackmore’s relationship with Ronnie Vint – unaware that they’ve SPLIT.

Megan, 24, is close friends with Harriett, who rose to fame on last year’s series, and later starred on All Stars at the start of 2025.

Harriett reunited with ex Ronnie on the spin-off series and rekindled their romance, giving their relationship a second chance.

But The Sun revealed today that Ronnie and Harriett have called time on their relationship, just four months after getting back together.

Speaking to The Sun and other press, Megan was asked if she was looking for her own Ronnie.

But clearly oblivious that Ronnie and Harriett had split just hours before, Megan went on to praise the footballer for worshipping her pal.

Megan replied: “Yes, he [Ronnie] is obsessed with her [Harriett] and rightly so.

“I would love something like that.”

The news of her friend’s break-up would not have reached Megan, who is currently in hiding ahead of the new series.

The brunette beauty has over 3,000 followers on social media and she’s sure to turn heads when she enters the villa

Irish Megan, who hails from Dublin, is no stranger to a stunning selfie, and also likes to travel, according to her social media.

She works as an actress, and at the end of December she posted a snap from a press night at Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury, after starring in Cinderella.

The star is set to join a string of other sexy singletons for the 2025 summer series.

These include  Rose Selway, who runs 12 aesthetics clinics, boasting a famous clientele including former Love Islanders Lucinda Strafford and Jessy Potts.

The 24-year-old beauty salon owner from Devon has passed the audition to join the cast of Love Island 2025.

Other faces set to appear on screen when the new episode airs include cheeky chappy Tommy Bradley, hunky 6’5” Aaron Buckett, who was the first name linked to this series, stunning Manchester model Shakira Khan and Sophie Lee, both revealed by The Sun.

ITV has revealed that Love Island 2025 will kick off on Monday, June 9.

I warned my mum that I’m up for romping on TV – I’ll go all the way if it feels right, says Love Island’s Harry

LOVE Island’s Harry Cooksley warned his MUM about watching him romp on TV.

The footballer, 29, admitted he’s up for going all the way in the villa – if he finds the right girl.

This year’s cast will see their steamy romps shown in full – something that hasn’t happened for five years[/caption]

He is mindful his mother will be avidly watching the show, but says he gave her the heads up.

Speaking ahead of Monday’s launch show, Harry said: “Listen, it’s not out of the question [that I’ll have sex on TV].

“If it feels right then I will – and I have briefed my mum as well.

“So yeah, if it feels right and it’s the right time I’m definitely open to it.”

Happy-go-lucky Harry was accused of dumping his girlfriend to be on the show.

A stunning woman, who The Sun chose not to name, claimed that Harry was a “liar” who had told her he was flying out to Bali, not to the villa in Mallorca.

Harry insisted they weren’t in a relationship, saying: “I’ve been dating for the last year, I’ve dated people leading up to the show, but nothing serious.

“I mean it wasn’t like a ‘dumping’, we dated. I told her I was going away for the summer and we left it there.”

‘Dumping’ makes it sound “terrible”, he said, adding: “I definitely haven’t dumped anyone.

“I think that is the reputation of footballers, but that’s not who I am.

“I’ve got a mullet and I’m 30. I’m ready for something.”

He’s now focused on finding a connection in the villa, but won’t stand for being in any love triangles.

He said: “If someone can take my girl from me then she was never my girl.”

Harry refuses to play games in the villa, insisting he wants to find something serious – and could even end up leaving with a girlfriend.

He said: “I like to think I play it cool with women and I’m kind of relaxed, but it’s so heightened in there, where you spend so much time together and when I fall for someone I fall hard and I fall fast.”

Love Island hunk Ben Holbrough says he’s not afraid to have sex in the villa – and way to hide bedroom sessions

LOVE Island star Ben Holbrough has admitted he’s not afraid of having a cheeky romp in the villa.

And now he’s open to getting down and dirty in the villa – and has even worked out a way to hide his bedroom antics.

Ben told The Sun and other press said: “I can never say never, you know, you gotta take every day as it comes.

“Who knows if there’s a girl and I sharing a bed with and she’s sexy, who knows what it’s gonna cuddling every night, it could get carried away.”

The 6ft 2ins model from Gloucester teased: “The hideaway is there for the taking as well, so we’ll wait and see.

“I’ve already told my family that I will try and keep it as PG as possible, because I have my niece watching so I do need to make an effort to keep it PG.

“But then again, there’s nothing wrong with just putting a quick cover over, so I could just do that and people will think we’re just having a quick cuddle, and that that is all it was.”

Ben, who is a private hire taxi driver, is a big fan of showing off his six pack in mirror selfies on social media.

In a video on his Star Now modelling page, he said: “My main line of work is modelling, which I’ve been doing for about five or six years now.

“But when I’m not doing that, my hobbies are either going to the gym or playing football.”

Ben already has a connection to the reality TV world, as he is followed on Instagram by Married At First Sight star Lacey Martin.

Love Island host Maya Jama will kick off the brand new series on Monday, June 9.

Ben will be joining a gorgeous line-up.

But their beauty is more than skin deep, as ITV2 has amassed a group with real kudos.

Former fire-breather Sophie Lee has campaigned for real beauty since she was scarred for life when her act went disastrously wrong, whilst Alima Gagigo has a BA degree in international business.

Sheffield Wednesday placed under transfer embargo by EFL as owner is accused of holding club ‘hostage’

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY have been placed under a registration embargo for failure to pay wages on time.

The Owls will be prevented from adding players to their squad for the 2025/26 Championship season due to multiple breaches of EFL regulations on payment obligations.

The EFL have charged the Owls and owner Dejphon Chansiri with multiple breaches of regulations on payment obligations[/caption]

The club were charged this week after failing to pay both players and staff members their wages for May.

The sanction has heaped yet more pressure on Owls owner Dejphon Chansiri, who has apologised profusely for the delayed wages, to sell the club.

An American consortium is looking to buy the Yorkshire outfit but has had TWO PROPOSALS rejected by Thai tycoon Chansiri.

Labour MP for Sheffield South East, Clive Betts, is leading the calls for Chansiri to sell, saying: “He must accept that he needs to sell Wednesday to prevent the complete collapse of the club.

“We as fans deserve better.

“It breaks my heart to see the club I have followed all my life being held hostage by an owner who clearly has no interest or care for us.

“It is clear that Chansiri does not have the ability or resources to fund and invest in Sheffield Wednesday.”

Wednesday have vowed to pay players and staff as soon as possible.

A club statement read: “The club continue to seek a resolution regarding outstanding salaries due for the month of May at the earliest possible opportunity.

“Mr Chansiri sincerely apologises to all players, coaches and staff affected and everyone connected with the club.”

Chansiri’s ten-year ownership of Wednesday has been filled with financial issues.

The Yorkshire club were deducted six points in the 2021/21 season, in which they were relegated to League One, for breaching spending rules.

And they were placed under registration embargoes in both the 2023/24 and 24/25 campaigns.

Wednesday ended the 2024/25 Championship season in 12th place.

I bought an abandoned house with no electric for 75p – I’ve funded renovations by sharing my DIY online

A YOUNG woman has revealed how she transformed an abandoned house and got paid for it in the process.

Tia Weston bought the abandoned property for just 75p and quickly got to work with her dad to turn it into her dream home.

It was st to be burnt down by the fire department but she turned it into her dream home[/caption]

Taking to YouTube, Tia said: “I’m taking you through the full start to finish process of turning this abandoned house into my dream home.

“It had no heat, no water, no electricity and it was used for storage for over 30 years.

“It was in such bad shape that at one point it was going to be given to the fire department to be burnt down.”

She said that in total it cost her £29,000 to renovate the property.

While some of the money came from selling her previous home, some of the cash came from sharing the renovation journey online.

Through posting the transformation on YouTube she was able to get revenue from advertisements to help fund the cost.

Tia and her dad had their work cut out for them, some of the wood on the roof had gone rotten and the flooring was also affected.

She also had to pay to get the entire house to have electricity running through it as well as new windows because the house was so old.

New plumbing also had to be fitted into the house so that Tia could renovate the bathroom.

After the basics were done, Tia moved on to clearing the house out and redecorating the space.

After renovation, a kitchen area with a refrigerator, cabinets, and an espresso machine.

The stunning renovation left people in awe[/caption]

The house had been left in disarray and used to store wood and old furniture.

But she managed to transform it into a colourful modern space for herself.

Inside the house, she used a light, pine wood for the floors, doors and finishes to add some much needed light into the home.

She used pastel colours throughout to make it more homely as well.

Home upgrades that add the most value to a house

The best renovation to add value totally depends on your property, the local market and your potential buyers.

Zoopla shared a list of upgrades that will instantly add value to your home.

  1. Loft conversion – increase of 15%
  2. Off-street parking – adds £50,000 to property price
  3. New kitchen – increase of 15%
  4. Garage conversion – increase of 15%
  5. Cellar or basement conversion – increase of 10-15%
  6. Open plan living space – increase of 3-5%
  7. New bathroom – increase of 3-5%

The transformation had left people stunned and they were quick to praise Tia and her dad for their hard work.

One person wrote: “The coolest part is that you did this all with your dad. You will always hold this memory in your heart.”

Another commented: “I am a 61-year-old lifetime remodeler. You did a GREAT job young lady!”

“Well done. You’ve done an amazing job,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I wish more people would renovate instead of tearing down older houses. You all did such a great job!”

Someone else added: “The contrast between where you started and where you ended up is insane! Your hard work has really paid off.”

Glam swimmer Luana Alonso finally reveals REAL reason behind Olympics exit as she responds to ‘inappropriate’ claims

Collage of a woman in a lime green bikini and a woman in a blue sports bra.

LUANA ALONSO has finally broken her silence on her shock departure from the 2024 Olympics.

The Paraguayan swimmer, who retired after failing to make the semi-finals of the 100m butterfly, was booted out of the Athletes’ Village in Paris due to alleged “inappropriate” behaviour.

The Paraguayan has hit back at the claims ten months after the debacle[/caption]

Alonso, 21, was said to have been routinely seen breaking protocol by walking around the village in her own outfits instead of the official Paraguayan kit.

She is also said to have routinely socialised with other athletes and been a distraction to her team-mates still competing.

Paraguayan Olympic bigwig Larissa Schaerer said of Alonso’s departure: “Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay.

“We thank her for proceeding as instructed, as it was of her own free will that she did not spend the night in the Athletes’ Village.”

Alonso, who now makes a pretty penny on subscription-based content on OnlyFans, initially opted against responding to the scathing statement from the Paraguayan Olympic Committee.

But Alonso, who has since performed a U-TURN on her retirement, has finally addressed claims that she was acting inappropriately.

She said in a lengthy post: “Let me make this clear: I left the Olympic Village on my own.

“The Paraguayan Olympic team claimed I created an ‘inappropriate environment’ simply because I decided I didn’t want to swim anymore.

“They tried to take my accreditation away, but that’s not something they had the right to do.

“I chose not to hand it over and apparently that was ‘inappropriate’ to them.

“Funny how the same people who treated me like this later begged me to return to the Pan American Junior Games.

“If I had been treated with basic respect, maybe I wouldn’t have stepped away.

“I’ve always given everything for my country breaking records, winning medals.

“But standing up for myself has always made me a “problem” in their eyes.

“I’m not sorry for that.

I left the Olympic Village on my own.”

Luana Carolina

“I speak up when I’m disrespected, whether it’s by team-mates, staff, or anyone else and that’s not going to change.

“I’ll be posting a video soon to address everything properly.

“But seriously, these lies are wild and affecting my life and that’s why I decided I’m keeping my life lowkey.”

The Paraguayan Olympic Committee have yet to respond to the allegations made by Carolina, who has seemingly performed yet another U-turn on a pool return.

She admitted: “I don’t know if I will be back to competitive swimming.”
