H&M is selling a £20 dupe of a £1,500 Prada bag and it’s the perfect accessory for your summer holiday

H&M’s new summer tote is a dupe for a popular designer bag – and it’s a fraction of the price

The Straw Tote bag is available in a range of colours, with its beige version being branded a dupe for the Prada Crochet Tote Bag.

But while the Prada bag costs a staggering £1,500, H&M’s similar alternative costs just £19.99.

A description on H&M’s website reads: “Tote bag in braided paper straw with handles at the top.”

The bag is unlined, weighs just 272 grams, and has a height and width of approximately 35cm making it the perfect size for all your summer essentials.

Its stylish design features a holed crochet pattern, with a closer knit at the bottom to ensure your belongings stay secure.

It is embellished with ‘Amour Paris‘.

The bag is also available in a red and dark brown design, adding a pop of colour to liven up your outfit.

With a 4.8 star rating, the bag is clearly a hit among shoppers.

One wrote: “Lovely summer bag. Also good as a beach bag.

“Not too big but can carry a towel, flip flops and a few other essentials easily.”

Others described as “perfect for summer” while another said that it “looks a lot more expensive than it is.”

Its more-expensive Prada comparison is similarly sized, and is available in natural (similar to beige), and olive green.

With a slightly more structured shape, the key difference between the bags is that instead of ‘Amour Paris’, the designer counterpart reads ‘Prada Milano‘.

This is adorned in a triangle at the centre of the bag, rather than at its base, giving more space for the looser knit design also featured on the £20 dupe.

A Prada product description reads: “This crochet tote bag has a soft, deconstructed shape and boasts a light, summery mood.

“A new interpretation of Prada’s emblematic triangle decorates the front and is embellished at its centre with the embroidered lettering logo.”

It’s part of a wider collection of crochet bags designed by the luxury fashion brand – which includes a card holder for £1,020, and a mini bucket bag for £1,760.

A similar compact-sized shoulder bag is available as part of the H&M collection for just £19.99.

They also have a smaller version of the shoulder bag at just 22cm tall, available for the same bargain price.

Eager shoppers can snap up the summer bargain both online and instore.

It’s great for pairing with the rest of H&M’s Summer 2025 collection, now available while stocks last.

Why you should always buy a dupe over designer...

Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend says it’s time fashion snobs stopped looking down their noses at affordable versions of designer buys.

Bargain US supermarket Walmart became a social media sensation when its £60 dupe of Hermès’ Birkin bag, dubbed the Wirkin, went viral.

Influencer @styledbykristi gushed: “Eighty dollars (£60), you can pretend that you got a Birkin. I mean, everyone will probably know it’s not, because who the hell has the money to spend on the real Birkin? Not me.”

Me neither. And why bother? I would never spend that on a designer bag (although if someone wants to buy one for me, that’s a different story).

Plus, if I splashed that much, I’d feel I was being ripped off…

We’ve all been told how the leading brands use the finest leather, thread, dyes and craftsmanship in the world.

But all that is inflated by fashion houses to create the desired illusion of exclusivity.

Just last year, Dior came under investigation for paying £44 to assemble a bag that sells for £2,000.

So while you might think you are paying for top-level craftsmanship carried out by a true artisan, chances are the poorly paid workers are not seeing any of your hard-earned cash.

Dupes — not to be mistaken for knock-offs that copy everything from the logo to the inside label — are a more practical and all-round sensible way to go.

I bought my first when I was 18. It lasted me four years and only broke after I wore it in the shower.

And these days, British high streets have plenty of dupes. In the past three years, Marks & SpencerH&M and Mango have all seen huge spikes in sales thanks to their canny copies. They use the same viral, must-have marketing tactics that pricey brands have.

Fashion folk will tell you that you are making an investment and buying a “heritage piece” and will turn their noses up at a high street equivalent. But we’ve been wearing looks inspired by catwalk designers for decades.

If we can buy a bag that’s the spitting image of the pricier version, but doesn’t mean you have to remortgage, why not?

My Satan-obsessed cannibal dad chopped up my stepmum & cooked her in salt – I’ll never get over her chilling last words

SITTING down for a tense dinner as her dad skulked out of sight, Jamie-Lee Arrow had a sickening feeling in her gut.

It was a mood shared by her stepmother, Helle Christensen, who uttered a chilling prophecy as they began to eat.

Cannibal Isakin Jonsson, 32, murdered girlfriend Helle Christensen, 40, and ate parts of her body

She said: “Enjoy your meal because this is the last time I will cook for you… because Isakin is going to kill me.”

A day later, on the evening of November 12, 2010, Isakin Jonsson, 32, picked up a knife and climbed on to the bed where his girlfriend was resting.

He slit her throat, decapitated her, and cut pieces of flesh from her arms and legs, which he cooked in salt and homegrown cannabis leaves.

The depraved crime sent shockwaves through the sleepy town of Skara, Sweden, but for Jonsson’s daughter, Jamie-Lee Arrow, who was nine at the time, this came as no surprise.

In the build-up to Helle’s haunting prophecy, the 40-year-old – who had five children with previous partners – had been fighting with Isakin for over 24 hours while Jamie-Lee and two of her children were staying.

Jamie-Lee tells The Sun: “They were throwing plates, pushing each other, throwing knives, and me and her two other children were just sitting on the sofa, crying like babies.

“So at that time, during those 24 hours, I was certain that either I would get killed or she would.”

After the vicious murder, Jonsson came forward to the police and confessed. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to forensic psychiatric care in March 2011.

Looking back on Jamie-Lee’s earliest memories of her dad, she reflects it was little surprise that things ended in unimaginable violence.

She said: “Walking into my dad’s flat was like walking into a horror movie.

“Pictures from Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger. Everything was just dark and misery.”

Jamie-Lee’s parents separated when she was a toddler, in the early 2000s, leading her to spend her childhood split between two worlds, her mum’s and her dad’s.

She tells us: “I was experiencing light and dark, and even though everything was normal at my mum’s, I didn’t feel normal because I was carrying dark secrets about what was going on at my dad’s.”

Those ‘dark secrets’ came from Jonsson’s morbid fascination with the occult, an obsession that he often tried to force on to his young daughter.

She said: “He often talked about the devil, demons and evil spirits, and when I was little he liked to introduce me to the other side.

“We would lay in the dark on the bed and he would go, ‘Do you see the faces on the wall, can you see them?’

“Then he would say it so much I would actually start seeing them.”

She confronted her father in a recent documentary[/caption]

He gave Jamie-Lee a Satanic bible at the age of 11, but his warped worldview corrupted even the most basic of parental responsibilities.

When Jamie-Lee was around eight, she told her dad about her problems with bullies at school.

Instead of offering some warm words and a cup of hot chocolate, he gave her a hand-made voodoo doll and a pin.

‘Beautiful’ second mum

It was around this time that Jamie-Lee met her dad’s new girlfriend, Helle, who he met at a psychiatric hospital after he was admitted following a drug overdose.

On meeting Helle, Jamie-Lee said: “I immediately fell in love with her, I thought she was so beautiful.

“She was a very unique person and wasn’t afraid of my dad. I was used to girls being very careful around my dad.

“They didn’t dare to do or say much, but she was joking on his behalf and she was so funny.”

Jamie-Lee and Helle became very close over the years as their relationship turned into that of a mother and daughter.

Jamie-Lee said: “She even told me, you are like my daughter, I love you like a daughter.

“And I really loved her like my mum.”

Jamie-Lee has turned her trauma into a positive force for good[/caption]

But it didn’t take long for Jamie-Lee to notice the cracks in Jonsson and Helle’s newfound relationship.

She said: “They could have very few moments where they seemed very loving, where they were laughing and having a good time.

“And all I wanted was for them to be happy together and to always be together.

“I had a book where I had written that my biggest wish in life is that they’d stay together for the rest of my life.

“But then most of the time they were fighting and they were not good for each other.”

Cruellest news

Those fights culminated in the violent 24-hour argument shortly before Helle’s brutal murder, and her chilling final words to the girl she loved like a daughter.

It was her mum who told her about what happened the night after. She sat her down on the bed and said she had something horrible to tell her.

Jamie-Lee recalls: “I was like ‘No, no don’t tell me, I don’t want to know’ and I was just trying to run out the bedroom just to not hear it.

“Then she said, ‘Helle’s dead’ and my first reaction was, ‘Was it Dad?’

“And then we just sat crying and screaming, it was awful.

“I felt like I had lost both his girlfriend and I had lost him and I felt something inside of me broke.”

The ordeal had a traumatic effect on the nine-year-old, with Jamie-Lee going on to struggle with depression and addiction.

“I got into drinking at a very early age,” she said.

“I finally had found something that soothed my anxiety and my hatred for myself, I could finally escape reality and it was amazing and I didn’t want it to stop.

“It went from drinking to smoking weed to all different kinds of drugs, anything I could get my hands on I would take.

“I knew I could fall asleep and not wake up again, but I didn’t care.”

Horror visits

Despite dreams of becoming a doctor prior to the murder, Jamie-Lee’s school attendance tanked as she sank further into addiction, dropping out completely at just 15.

During these dark days, Jamie-Lee still visited her father in hospital, who brainwashed her into thinking that he was the only one who cared about her.

But he had not changed, as the then 17-year-old was about to find out.

“I was in a really, really bad state and I was seconds away from killing myself and I said to my dad, ‘I don’t know what to do, I’m going to kill myself if something doesn’t change’,” said Jamie-Lee.

“He said, ‘The only way out is to do this’, and he told me about a ritual that had came to him when he was lying in his bed, he said it was a blessing to him.

“We sat down, in front of each other, and he told me to hold his hands and he wanted me to say after him.

Jamie-Lee still cannot bear to utter the words her father told her to say that day, but explains he tried to sell her soul to the devil.

She said: “I felt, like, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ It felt so wrong.

“I just got such a bad feeling in my body, and I was in such a bad state that I felt like I was going insane.

“Like I had lost it, I had lost touch with reality.”

Walking into my dad’s flat was like walking into a horror movie. Pictures from Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger. Everything was just dark and misery

On another visit, Jonsson walked his horrified daughter through the murder, in shocking detail.

“He told me with such passion, and that scared me, it was so disturbing,” she said.

But the final straw was when Jamie-Lee decided to confront her dad about something she wanted an apology for.

When he responded violently, she decided to provoke him, to see if he was capable of doing the same thing to her as he did his former girlfriend.

Who are the UK's worst serial killers?

THE UK's most prolific serial killer was actually a doctor.

Here’s a rundown of the worst offenders in the UK.

  1. British GP Harold Shipman is one of the most prolific serial killers in recorded history. He was found guilty of murdering 15 patients in 2000, but the Shipman Inquiry examined his crimes and identified 218 victims, 80 per cent of whom were elderly women.
  2. After his death Jonathan Balls was accused of poisoning at least 22 people between 1824 and 1845.
  3. Mary Ann Cotton is suspected of murdering up to 21 people, including husbands, lovers and children. She is Britain’s most prolific female serial killer. Her crimes were committed between 1852 and 1872, and she was hanged in March 1873.
  4. Amelia Sach and Annie Walters became known as the Finchley Baby Farmers after killing at least 20 babies between 1900 and 1902. The pair became the first women to be hanged at Holloway Prison on February 3, 1903.
  5. William Burke and William Hare killed 16 people and sold their bodies.
  6. Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe was found guilty in 1981 of murdering 13 women and attempting to kill seven others between 1975 and 1980.
  7. Dennis Nilsen was caged for life in 1983 after murdering up to 15 men when he picked them up from the streets. He was found guilty of six counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder and was sentenced to life in jail.
  8. Fred West was found guilty of killing 12 but it’s believed he was responsible for many more deaths.

She said: “He looked at me with black eyes, like he had no love for me at all.

“He said, ‘If you don’t stop now, you’ll see what I can do’.”

That was the last time Jamie-Lee saw her dad until she confronted him as part of Investigation Discovery’s recent true-crime series Evil Lives Here: The Killer Speaks.

When asked why she wanted to see her dad again, she said: “For years I had been wondering about my dad, what he’s doing, what he looks like, where he is mentally.

“It just couldn’t leave my mind so I knew that I did want to see him one last time just to ask the questions I was carrying and to get closure.

“I got to say goodbye to him and I got confirmation that he could never, ever in a million years be a part of my life.”

Now 23, Jamie-Lee is happily engaged to her boyfriend of five years and the mother of two beautiful children, a three-year-old boy and a nine-month-old daughter, and is now able to move forward with her new life.

Her Instagram has attracted over 30,000 followers in the last month, attracting an audience that is fascinated by her defiant response to her tragic upbringing.

She now works as a public speaker and author, teaching people how to turn their trauma into something positive.

Her advice?

“Just because your childhood sucked doesn’t mean your entire life has to,” she said.

“We have the power over our own lives and we can create something beautiful even if we came from something ugly.”

How many circles can you see in 10 seconds in this mind-boggling optical illusion?

TEST your IQ by finding as many circles as possible in ten seconds in the optical illusion below.

Take a look at the image to put your observational skills to the test.

Test your observational skills by counting the circles in this optical illusion[/caption]

It shows black and white squares atop a grey background.

But when you start to look at the picture, the squares start to shift into a not-so-circular pattern.

Set yourself a ten second timer and count how many circles you find before it runs out.

The image has left social media users confused as they try to make sense of the illusion.

Even if you concentrate hard, the lines never become fully clear, making it challenging to accurately count.

As you look at the image, it morphs into a ‘pretzel’ pattern, created by the circles appearing to overlap.

Being able to accurately count the circles could be a sign of creativity, and strong intuition.

Optical illusions can be a great way to test your brain function.

To decipher the puzzles, your brain and eyes have to work together to make sense of what you’re observing.

While your brain determines what is logical, it might not actually be what your eyes are seeing.

The shocking answer to the image reveals that there are, in fact, four circles.

While the alternating monochromatic colours make it difficult to put the image into perspective, if you stare long enough the shapes should become clearer.

The image is then revealed to show four rings, rather than the obscure ‘pretzel’ shape that was originally observed.

How can optical illusions and brainteasers help me?

Engaging in activities like solving optical illusions and brainteasers can have many cognitive benefits as it can stimulate various brain regions.

Some benefits include:

  • Cognitive stimulation: Engaging in these activities challenges the brain, promoting mental agility and flexibility.
  • Problem-solving skills: Regular practice enhances analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Memory improvement: These challenges often require memory recall and can contribute to better memory function.
  • Creativity: They encourage thinking outside the box, fostering creativity and innovative thought processes.
  • Focus and attention: Working on optical illusions and brainteasers requires concentration, contributing to improved focus.
  • Stress relief: The enjoyable nature of these puzzles can act as a form of relaxation and stress relief.

You can also test other parts of your brain with different types of brainteasers.

This image of pearls can be a great way to test your eyesight – as you’re asked to find the diamond in less than 10 seconds.

Brainteasers offer a great way to test your IQ and keep your mind sharp.

This maths-based brainteaser is a great way to train your brain and improve your critical thinking.

Flexible Thomas Frank and Tottenham are the perfect match – Brentford boss will get to show how he REALLY wants to play

ANGE-BALL is dead and buried, a cold-blooded decision that has divided the Tottenham fanbase.

The departure of Ange Postecoglou brought a mix of bewilderment and anger from some, with many feeling his axe was unnecessary.

Plenty of Spurs supporters are unsure about what lead candidate Thomas Frank will bring if he is the next man through the revolving door.

The club’s fans always want their team to reflect the attacking principles — the  “Glory, Glory” “To Dare is to Do” football — articulated by their 1960-61 Double-winning icons, captain Danny Blanchflower and boss Bill Nicholson.

That is why defensively-minded Nuno Espirito Santo, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte never quite fitted in.

And it is why Dane Frank — currently at Brentford — actually ticks more boxes than any alternative.

His Bees were promoted to the Premier League in 2021 playing free-flowing, attractive football.

But Frank realised he could not play that way in the top flight with the squad and resources at his disposal.

Not until they established themselves. It meant Frank had to get his recruitment and his tactics right — also showing  a willingness to adapt alongside solid analysis and smart thinking.

He showed the same passion and desire as Bees fans, who loved watching his side evolve.

BEST ONLINE CASINOS – TOP SITES IN THE UK

But the Gtech hierarchy knew this moment would come.

That a big club would knock on the door and Frank would be ready to walk through, seeking a stage that lets him play the football he REALLY wants to play.

Football that comes straight off the N17 wish-list.

Quizzed by SunSport recently Frank, 51,  said: “For many, years, I’ve been most attracted to more offensive football.

“I always looked a little bit at the Ajax team, the total football idea.

“Then it was Barcelona, the first Dream Team under Johan Cruyff, which of course also had Michael Laudrup, another Danish player, at the heart of it.

“So I watched all those games, incredible — and then of course Pep Guardiola took them to another level.

“I was also inspired by watching what Jurgen Klopp did at Liverpool.

“They were the most difficult team to play against from a defensive side because they attacked from all angles.

‘FANTASTIC FOOTBALL’

“Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal as well. I liked that, with Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Freddie Ljungberg, Robert Pires. That was some fantastic football as well.

“I got that inspiration and tried to merge it into my own blueprint.

“Hopefully, you can be a great entertainer and a great winner at the same time.

“Ultimately it is all about winning, no doubt. But you can’t achieve anything big without being solid at the back.”

Frank has the intelligence and depth to deal with pressure and crises — and   would not blow up a club like Spurs in the way Conte did in 2023 — nor turn on the fans as Postecoglou did too frequently.

Proof of that came with Frank’s brilliant handling of the Ivan Toney gambling case.

After the striker was charged with betting offences in November 2022 he scored ten goals in 19 Prem games before the striker’s eight-month FA ban was confirmed.

Frank knew his job was to be a counsellor as well as a manager.

Not just before the ban, but during and after.

He said at the time: “He’s made mistakes, but we need to be there and help him.

“We all make mistakes. Who are we to judge, especially in football?

“Ivan is a footballer, but he’s also a human being. We need to do everything we can to support him.”

Yet in Toney’s absence Frank unleashed Yoanne Wissa alongside Mbeumo — they  scored 39 Prem goals between them last term.

Ange’s legacy is a first Spurs trophy in 17 years.

It provides a platform that Frank is ready to build on.

It is the role he has waited for all his career. And it gives him the chance to turn his ambitions into reality.

Secret Apple upgrades ‘coming today including extra iPhone battery life & AirPods trick to understand foreign languages’

APPLE is about to show off huge free upgrades coming to millions of customers – including owners of the iPhone, iPad, AirPods, MacBook, and Apple Watch.

Eligible gadget fans will reportedly get the ability to translate foreign languages in real-time using AirPods headphones, combine multiple emoji, and unlock extra battery life without paying a penny extra.

Apple chief Tim Cook is expected to show off new iPhone upgrades later today[/caption]

And the way iPhone apps look may be totally revamped for the first time in over a decade.

It’s all part of Apple’s regular software makeover that the company hands out to gadget fans each year.

Apple is showing off the new goodies at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) during a special event at 10am in California today – that’s 1pm for New Yorkers and 6pm in the UK on Monday, June 6.

And there are six major upgrades that you’ll want to watch out for…

APPLE UPDATE #1 – MAJOR APP MAKEOVER

The first change to watch out for is a brand new look for your app icons.

Apple is reportedly going to switch up its design for the first time in over 10 years.

Back in 2013, Apple unleashed iOS 7, moving to a brighter and flatter design style for app icons.

Now Apple is expected to change all that with this year’s update.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is going to move to a new look based on the company’s Apple Vision Pro “spatial computing” headset.

The app icons on these virtual reality goggles feature a more transparent look with a circular frame.

So expect the iPhone, iPad, and Mac to follow suit.

APPLE UPDATE #2 – APP OVERHAULS

Three apps in particular are rumoured for major overhauls.

First up is the Phone app, which is one of the best-known default Apple apps.

It’s reportedly having its Favourites, Recents, and Voicemail tabs all combined into a single window.

This is meant to make life easier, but if that sounds like hell to you, there will supposedly be a way to switch it off.

Second is Safari, which is meant to be getting a slick new look (with a glossy URL bar – that’s where web addresses live).

And third is Camera, which is one of the best-used Apple apps.

Over the years, it has become absolutely feature-packed. Think of all the modes: Slow-Mo, Spatial Video, Portrait, Portrait Selfie, Cinematic Video, and so on.

Apple is reportedly simplifying this with its next big update…

APPLE UPDATE #3 – NEW UPDATE NAMES

…and that update won’t be iOS 19.

Instead, Apple is supposedly rebranding all of its major software names to match the years.

So iOS 19 will instead be called iOS 26. That’s because it’ll likely be out in September, and will then run for a full year – so most of its life will be in 2026.

Similarly, we’re expecting iPadOS 19 to become iPadOS 26, and macOS 16 to instead be called macOS26.

And it’s the same story for tvOS 19, watchOS 12, and visionOS 3, which will all be called “26” instead.

It should make things less confusing for, well, everyone.

APPLE UPDATE #4 – MESSAGE BETTER

Apple is also expected to dole out some new features to a fan-favourite app: Messages.

If you’re a WhatsApp user, the new tricks will feel very familiar.

The first is the ability to send polls, which means you can quiz your mates on restaurant options, or have your family vote on the next holiday destination.

And second, we’ll supposedly get the ability to change chat backgrounds.

So you can have something a bit more thrilling, and it’ll sync for everyone in the chat.

APPLE UPDATE #5 – GAME ON!

Apple is also supposedly working on an entirely new app called Games.

Collage of app icons for various mobile games.
Apple
Apple is reportedly building a dedicated Games app – which will also feature premium Apple Arcade titles[/caption]

This will supposedly be a portal for all things gaming on the iPhone.

So it’ll apparently work a bit like the App Store, as well as an access point for Apple Arcade (the premium titles accessed via a monthly subscription fee).

And it’ll reportedly have Home, Arcade, Play Together, Library, and Search tabs.

APPLE UPDATE #6 – AI SEE!

Lastly, Apple looks set to debut a few new artificial intelligence tricks.

The tech titan has faced recent controversy over some AI feature delays.

So Apple is reportedly taking a gentler approach this year, with a smaller slate of features that can definitely be delivered.

The headline upgrade is a new feature that will reportedly allow Apple AirPods owners to translate foreign languages in real time. Perfect for holiday.

Wireless earbuds in their charging case.
Apple
The Apple AirPods could soon translate foreign languages in real time[/caption]

You’ll also be able to combine two emoji (rather than just create entirely new emoji via Genmoji) for the first time.

And there’s an AI-powered battery optimisation feature potentially coming too.

This will reportedly analyse your phone behaviour, and then make adjustments behind the scenes to unlock better battery life.

Sadly there’s no guarantee that this will be revealed at WWDC 2025.

It’s possible that Apple might save this feature (if it even exists) for the expected launch of the iPhone 17 in September.

We won’t know for sure about any of these leaks until Apple makes its big announcement on stage at its Cupertino, California HQ.

IS ANY OF THIS ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN?

Here’s what The Sun’s tech editor Sean Keach has to say…

I know what you’re thinking. There are a lot of maybes, mights, and coulds here.

It’s the same story every year.

Apple keeps its upcoming news under tight wraps – but nuggets inevitably leak.

And the closer we get to the event, the more accurate those leaks become.

We’re now in the final moments before the big reveal, so there’s a good chance that we’ll see these leaks come true.

Of course, Apple may end up delaying or scrapping some of these changes – even at the last minute.

The Californian tech giant will be keen not to over-promise this year.

And none of these changes are particularly shocking.

Apple’s naming conventions have become messy and need fixing. Having software match the year makes sense. I wouldn’t be surprised if the iPhone eventually followed suit.

Mobile gaming is massive – just look at the Nintendo Switch 2 selling out. Apple creating a dedicated Games app is also common sense.

And battery boosts plus real-time translation are sensible AI additions that are within the realms of possibility.

If anything, it would be a surprise if any of this didn’t happen.
