Thomas Frank has been named as Postecoglou’s replacment

And Postecoglou, 59,. is already in demand having been approached by Al-Ahli, who will be in the market for a new manager if current chief Matthias Jaissle leaves.

German Jaissle’s future remains in doubt despite guiding the Jeddah outfit – who have England striker Ivan Toney up front – to the AFC Champions League title last month.

And Postecoglou is currently mulling over the prospect of a lucrative switch to Saudi.

The Europa League-winning boss has already had interest from other clubs in England and on the continent.

He is understood to favour another crack at the Premier League should the opportunity arise.

And Postecoglou not rush a decision over his future despite the lucrative proposal from the Middle East.

The popular coach ended Tottenham’s 17-year trophy drought last month by beating Manchester United in Bilbao.

But he was still sacked just 16 days later, with Thomas Frank appointed as his successor on Thursday.

The Asutralian manager penned an emotional message to Spurs after it was confirmed he would leaving the club.

Teacher trolled after revealing her top 3 presents she’d like to be gifted now that summer holidays are looming

AS the summer holidays draw near, many parents find themselves wondering whether they should get their child’s teacher a gift – and, if so, what to choose.

While showing appreciation is always a lovely gesture, picking the perfect present can sometimes feel tricky.

Ivy has taken to TikTok to share her gift ideas for teachers

Teacher Ivy, known on TikTok as ‘toothfairylikeme’, has shared her top three favourite gift ideas to help parents navigate this decision.

In her video, Ivy revealed the presents she’d love to receive, sparking an online debate about gift-giving for teachers

The caption of the video read: “With the summer holidays looming, lots of families are thinking of buying a present for their kids’ teacher.

“Here’s my guide on some things they would ACTUALLY like.”

With over a decade of experience as a supply teacher in primary schools, Ivy reflected on the thoughtful gifts she’s received over the years and admitted she misses them now that she’s not regularly in one classroom.

Her top picks include practical ideas: a notebook (ideal for jotting down endless notes and replacing lost scraps of paper), a sturdy tote or fold-away bag (perfect for carrying books and supplies home), and her ultimate favourite – a heartfelt handwritten note.

While many viewers praised Ivy’s suggestions for being both inexpensive and practical, others criticised the idea of teachers openly sharing what they’d like to receive.

The video sparked a lively discussion, with some arguing that appreciation doesn’t need to come in the form of gifts, while others defended Ivy’s honesty and straightforward advice.

Her video gained 28.6k views and 46 comments after two days of being shared.

One wrote: “It needs to be stopped.”

To which another added: “It only takes one parent to start it then the others try and outdo each other, I have never started it and never will.”

A second added: “Teaching must be the only profession where you are expected to give them a present just because the year ended.

“And the supermarkets force it into our faces.”

While a third said: “Never give presents to any teachers you get paid for doing your job.”

And Ivy replied: “Absolutely, and that is your prerogative.

“But if others choose to recognise the devotion that it takes to literally educate the next generation of doctors, engineers, bus drivers, etc. they should be allowed to do so without judgement.”

Should you buy a teacher a gift?

IF you are wondering whether or not to buy your child's teacher an end-of-year gift, look no further...

As the summer holidays fast approach, Fabulous Senior Digital Writer and mum-of-two Sarah Bull weighs in on whether you should feel obliged to buy your kids’ teachers a present to mark the end of term.

Sarah said: “It can be pricey trying to keep the kids entertained during six weeks off school.

“But before the end of term, parents all over the country are also trying to budget for gifts for their kids’ teachers too.

“With teachers, teaching assistants, SEN specialists and other beloved staff members to buy for, it can be an expensive business.

“And while lots of schools actively discourage parents from spending their money on end-of-term presents for teachers, I consider it an obligation.

“After all – I know how tough my kids can be at home, and their teachers have to keep them in check for the majority of the day – so don’t they deserve a token of appreciation?

“I also wouldn’t want my children to feel left out when their friends arrive at school armed with pressies for their teachers.

“While some parents go all out with gifts, with alcohol and flowers popular choices, I’ll be doing my best to stay at the £5 mark for each of the four staff members I’ll be buying for.

“And with some fab options in stores like Poundland, Home Bargains and B&M, it should be easy for me to stick to my budget.”

F1 icon wins Le Mans 24 Hours race more than a decade on from horror crash that almost killed him and broke 42 bones

FORMULA ONE cult hero Robert Kubica enjoyed a fairytale race win at the iconic Le Mans 24 Hours.

The 40-year-old took the chequered flag driving the Ferrari number 83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P, also driven by China‘s Yifei Ye and Britain’s Phil Hanson.

But Kubica completed a fairytale comeback to win one of the most prestigious prizes in motorsport[/caption]

Kubica was once considered to be in an elite crop of F1 talent alongside Lewis Hamilton as he took his maiden win at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix.

In 2011 the Pole had agreed to sign for the Ferrari F1 team for the 2012 season before disaster struck as he was involved in a devastating rally crash that almost killed him.

Kubica was left with 42 broken bones, a partially severed wrist and lost three quarters of his blood volume after being trapped in his car for more than an hour before rescue workers managed to free him.

He underwent a seven-hour operation by seven doctors before having two further operations to repair fractures in his leg, shoulder and arm.

As a result he spent months recovering from his injuries and was robbed of the chance to race for the Scuderia in F1.

Kubica returned to motorsport in the World Rally Championship in 2013 and went on to win 14 Stages before he made a stunning return to F1 to drive for Williams.

Initially he started out as the team’s reserve driver in 2018 before he was given a full seat in 2019 to partner then F2 champion George Russell.

He then left his role in 2020 after managing just a single point, but did remain as a reserve driver for Alfa Romeo.

In 2023 he was crowned champion of the World Endurance Championship, while he also won two Le Mans series in 2021 and 2024.

However, top spot in the iconic 24-hour race eluded him as he twice finished as a runner-up and was forced to retire from the 2024 edition.

But this year Kubica finally added the iconic motorsport event to his lucrative racing CV in front of a sell-out crowd – which sees around 300,000 fans gather for the showpiece.

Kubica drove a long final stint to achieve the prestigious victory for Ferrari, which is their third year in a row winning the race.

Speaking over his team radio, he said: “It’s been a long 24 hours but an enjoyable one – grazie mille, grazie a tutti.”

He later said to TNT Sports: “Winning Le Mans is special.

“It’s been a demanding week – we made everything possible. We kept our heads down when we had to push, and when not we took care of the tyres.

“I’m happy for myself, my team-mates, AF Corse and Ferrari winning three times in row. A better scenario, we could not have.”

Kubica joins two-time Le Mans and two-time F1 champion Fernando Alonso as the only drivers to have won an F1 race and Le Mans this century.

He is also the first Polish driver to win the iconic race.

Team-mate Yifei Ye also became the first ever Chinese driver to take an overall win at Le Mans 24 Hours.

Motorsport fans will also have the chance to sink their teeth into the F1 Canadian Grand Prix, where Russell took pole ahead of Max Verstappen.

Alejandro Garnacho makes Premier League transfer first choice after Ruben Amorim told Man Utd star to find new club

The Manchester United winger is expected to leave Old Trafford following a row with boss Ruben Amorim.

Garnacho was upset not to start the Europa League final last month.

The Argentine was subsequently dropped from Amorim’s matchday squad for the Red Devils’ final Prem game of the season, at home at Aston Villa.

And during United’s post-season tour of Asia, Garnacho was involved in an altercation with a fan.

SunSport revealed last month that the winger favours a move to Chelsea.

Garnacho has been linked with Bayer Leverkusen, in a move that would reunite him with former United boss Erik ten Hag.

But transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reiterated that Garnacho is prioritising a move to a Premier League club.

In addition to Chelsea, Villa are said to be monitoring the situation.

SunSport recently revealed that Al-Nassr are also keen.

Alejandro Garnacho's 2024-25 Manchester United stats.

A move to the Saudi side would see Garnacho reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, having briefly played alongside the Portuguese forward at United.

Initially it was claimed that United would be demanding £50million for their homegrown winger.

This figure is now thought to have risen to around £70m.

Garnacho has played 144 times for United, scoring 26 goals and laying on 22 assists.

Soccer Aid was initially held every two years, but since 2018, it has become an annual event.

Williams, 51, has been working with Unicef since 1998 after being introduced to the organisation by the late Ian Dury.

Laura Anderson takes HUGE swipe at Gary Lucy on Father’s Day

LAURA Anderson has taken a swipe at her son’s dad Gary Lucy on Father’s Day.

“Cheers to the single mums that feel sh*t for their kids on Father’s Day,” Laura penned over the top of a video of herself frowning, seemingly taking a veiled dig at her ex.

Gary and Laura split in 2023 – the same year they welcomed their daughter[/caption]

Dressed in a pink vest t-shirt and with her blonde locks in a sleek style, Laura then put a thumb up before the screen went blank and only the caption remained.

Laura welcomed daughter Bonnie, whom she shares with ex Gary, in 2023.

The couple had an on-and-off relationship, but things are now on bad terms with Laura even branding Gary a “deadbeat dad”.

Last month Gary seemingly reignited his feud with his Celebs Go Dating ex Laura after warning that “dads matter”.

The former Footballers’ Wives star made the apparent dig while sharing a throwback video of himself and his son Theodore, six.

Gary had been filmed in a restaurant as he sat next to Theodore and they could be seen giggling about “spicy” food together.

The actor then gently grabbed his son’s cheeks and said: “Look at that face, that gorgeous face..”

The video finished with Gary giving Theodore a kiss.

Gary, 43, shared the footage on Instagram but seemed to have also made a swipe at Laura, 36, in the process.

Laura has taken aim at Gary several times in the past over Bonnie being snapped with her dad rarely.

Reigniting the row himself, Gary cryptically captioned his video: “Good enough to eat … Gorgeous Boy #dadsmatter.”

Replying, one follower asked: “Thought you had a girl with Laura..?”

Gary shares Theodore with his ex-wife Natasha. They are also parents to India, 18, Elvis, 12 and Sadie, seven.

Gary and Laura met while filming E4‘s Celebs Go Dating in 2022.

Laura Anderson and Gary Lucy's relationship timeline

  • Laura and Gary met when they both appeared on Celebs Go Dating back in 2022
  • They announced Laura’s pregnancy in February 2023
  • Just one day later, they revealed that they had split
  • Later in 2023, they appeared to have reconciled
  • Laura gave birth to daughter Bonnie in September 2023
  • They announced shortly afterwards that they were no longer together
  • In June 2024, Lucy was asked if Gary had seen Bonnie, to which she responded: “No he hasn’t since 2nd January if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others”.
  • In August 2024, Gary shared a video of himself with Bonnie
  • With Laura hitting out: “Instead of posting videos of the one time you saw your daughter this year, can you please reply to my text from 2weeks ago please, that would be great”.
  • Laura marked Bonnie’s birthday in September 2024 as she referenced her “beautiful daughter”
  • When someone asked where her relationship with Gary stands, Laura replied: “No matter what Gary has done and not done I will always respect him as Bonnie’s father and I hope one day he is capable of being the father she deserves.”

At the end of 2022, the pair revealed they were expecting a child together.

They shared an announcement on Instagram containing snaps of the pair dressed up as elves at Christmas as they celebrated the joyous news.

Laura broke things off with Gary shortly after they celebrated the happy pregnancy news together.

The couple split after they attended their first baby scan together.

Gary revealed their split to The Sun in February 2023 when he said: “I love Laura but we are no longer together.

“My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.”

Chloe Kelly jets off on sun-kissed holiday as Arsenal star takes well-deserved break before Euro 2025 with Lionesses

CHLOE KELLY is living it up on a dream break – before trying to complete a dream double.

The Lionesses forward jetted off with Manchester United defender Gabby George and their partners for sun-drenched hols ahead of Euro 2025.

Loanee Kelly helped Arsenal to the Champions League crown last month, ending Barcelona‘s bid for three such titles in a row.

Now she’s making the most of brief downtime before England’s defence of their Euro 2022 glory begins in Switzerland on July 5.

Kelly, 27, shared shimmering shots of a blissful getaway with her 955,000 Instagram followers.

She wrote: “UNO of Summer so far… things are hotting up pre Euros.”

George replied to Kelly’s message with “Love you” – plus a love heart.

To which 52-cap star Kelly responded: “Love you girl – 4 amigos.”

George, 28, who is Jesse Lingard’s cousin, failed to make Sarina Wiegman’s 23-women squad for next month’s Euros.

But she did beat Kelly in one sporty, time-honoured holiday activity.

Instagram

One fan snuck into the pair’s online love-in by asking: “Need to know who won mini golf.”

Kelly answered that George had “fluked it”.

But the Red Devils’ centre-back offered a different interpretation of the event as she posted: “Precision I call it” – followed by a laughing emoji.

The footballing friends had earlier shared clips of their dancing, having booked a sea-view villa with a swimming pool.

And Kelly will hope mini-golf defeat is the only blot on her golden summer.

She shone for the Gunners after joining on loan from Manchester City in January.

Kelly is now in talks over a permanent switch to Arsenal after being released by City at the end of her contract – as well as chasing second-successive Euros joy under Wiegman.

Her online fans gratefully loved the 10 latest pics she posted on Instagram – some in a bikini, many with husband Scott Moore and all with a beaming smile.

One admirer wrote: “There’s def something about Chloe” and another described her as “angelic”.

A third called her “as beautiful as a goddess perfectly made by nature and an extraordinary soccer player”.

The Lionesses beat Portugal 6-0 then lost 2-1 to Spain in Nations League games a fortnight ago.

Next comes a single warm-up game against Jamaica at the King Power Stadium on June 29 before a Euros opener with France six days later.

That’s followed by England’s last two group games – against the Netherlands on July 9 and Wales four days later.
