‘Broos still blueticking Chiefs players!’ – Amakhosi fans react

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has not named any Kaizer Chiefs in his 23-man squad to face Zambia later this month.

Amakhosi supporters were not pleased after Broos omitted midfielder Mduduzi Vilakazi from his final squad. The 21-year-old playmaker was initially in Bafana’s preliminary squad and also took part in last month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Kaizer Chiefs have won back-to-back league matches for the first time since August, with Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi being the standout players. Vilakazi was part of the Amajita team that reached the last 16 of the FIFA U/20 World Cup in Chile.

The youngster has since taken his form to club level.

Hugo Broos continues to bluetick Kaizer Chiefs players

Chiefs fans felt Broos should have included Shabalala, who scored a hat-trick against Orbit College on Tuesday.

@Bibo_wama2 wrote: “It’s actually a good thing. Chiefs players will only get call-up once Broos and Mkhalele are gone…. For now, we gotta make peace.”

@Khwezi_Lomso1 wrote: “Mduduzi Shabalala must focus on his football. He must work on his game and improve. He has the potential to become one of the best players in the game. He must block the noise and put in the work. Kaizer Chiefs need him at his best. He must forget about cunts like Hugo Broos.”

@JayM_Soundz wrote: “As Kaizer Chiefs fans we have made peace with our players not being selected…we have to fight for top 8…i don’t even know they still allow Broos to watch our games!”

Last month, Hugo Broos justified why Kaizer Chiefs players were not in his World Cup qualifying squad. The Belgian mentor said that Amakhosi were not playing good football compared to their rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Do you think Mdu should have been included in the Bafana squad to face Zambia?
