AN 11-year-old boy who was left with “life changing injuries” after being hit by a tram remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The youngster was struck by the Meterolink tram at a stop in in Wythenshawe, South Manchester, yesterday.

It is thought the schoolboy fell “between the tram and the platform” before the tram began to move.
Emergency services rushed to the horrific scene and raced the boy to hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The 11-year-old remains in the care of medics at the hospital and is in a stable condition, Greater Manchester Police said.
While police investigations into the horror were carried out a large cordon was put in place around the scene.
Roads were closed off and traffic was diverted as an air ambulance came in to land.
With a police investigation into the horrific incident ongoing, any witnesses have been urged to come forward.
Officers were seen conducting their probe at the scene late into Tuesday evening.
Tram services to Manchester Airport were cancelled for the majority of the evening after the incident.
