About the Internship Programme
The Blue Crane Route Municipality, driven by its vision of creating a better life for all its citizens, is offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring finance professionals through the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP).
This structured professional training and work experience programme aims to provide comprehensive exposure in all aspects of municipal budgeting, financial management, and treasury operations.
The initiative aligns with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Act 56 of 2003, and the Municipal Minimum Competency Regulations (Gazette 29967 of June 2007), preparing participants for successful careers in local government finance.
Successful candidates will sign both an internship agreement and a two-year (24-month) employment contract, committing to full participation in learning modules, workplace projects, and municipal operations.

- Number of Posts: 2
- Directorate: Finance Department
- Stipend: R100 000.00 per annum
- Duration: 24 months (2 years)
- Age Requirement: 21 – 35 years
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate
- A three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma majoring in one of the following fields:
- Auditing
- Financial Accounting
- Risk Management (or other related fields)
